GodHammer 0 Posted August 14, 2008 First two models made to meet the new TV guiding script I've spot around the forum For the moment KH-29T missile and KAB-500KR precision-guided bomb. I am going to model also the 1500 class bomb as well as some western missiles to make teams even, Â . Both models use a semitrasparent head to show the inner aiming device. I need to thank Eddie from Racs Mod, DaSquade, Messiah and Nuxil for advices and help. Cheers all, GH.
kremator 1065 Posted August 14, 2008 Looks impressive..... something to go along with Mando Bomb console and Missiles [TAO] Kremator
GodHammer 0 Posted August 14, 2008 The KAB-500KR is a 500 kg class precision-guided bomb designed for the latest generation of Russian-made aircraft such as Su-24M, Su-30, Su-34 and Mig-29. It is a fire/drop and forget weapon. Once released, the KAB-500KR directs itself to the planned target. This weapon can defeat surface stationary/fixed hardened targets such as reinforced concrete shelters, runways, railway and highway bridges, military installations and ships. In the 1990s in Chechnya  this class of weapons were deployed by SU-24 Fencer and MiG-27 Flogger aircrafts performing strike missions. The Kh-29 (NATO codename AS-14 Kedge) is a Russian Air-to-surface missile, produced in several variations, the Kh-29T television guided missile, and the Kh-29L laser-guided missile, as well as the Kh-29D, with a thermal imaging head. It is comparable to the American AGM-65 Maverick missile but with a larger size.

nuxil 2 Posted August 16, 2008 Nice pize of work there.. With my script and your missiles. then no one can hide for us . Ps. when you make CfgAmmo for your Missile. set the Thrust to no more than 30-40. but use a longer Thrust Time. example 20 Sec,, this is because the missile is To hard to controll with a high thrustfactor. its better to have the missile gain speed slowly rather than full speed in 1 sec! trust me,, i have tested this alot. Keep up the good work!
USSRsniper 0 Posted August 16, 2008 I don't get what is the point of Uber high poly munition that you will not even see long enough, before it explodes....
GodHammer 0 Posted August 16, 2008 They are not so " uber " in polycount, they stay all under 500 polys each ( 500 for the GBU-15 that is used usually in just a pair, not more ). My aim is giving the community some nice replicas of missiles and bombs to match the very good textures of airplanes and helicopters seen in some addons, adding new loadouts possibilities, then, more than all, HAVING FUN MODELING THEM. And last but not least, modeling something new instead of making ANOTHER version of an M4 carbine. ArmA's a military simulator after all, so why weapons have to be inaccurate? @Nuxil : I'm just a modeler/skinner, I'll send you the baby and you can take care of it the way you like best
[aps]gnat 28 Posted August 16, 2008 I don't get what is the point of Uber high poly munition that you will not even see long enough, before it explodes.... I dont think he said they were high-poly ...... what you are really looking at is high quality textures. It may or may not be high-poly.
