PheonixFury 0 Posted April 16, 2008 Can't find it anywhere, and I don't want to have to buy the gold addition for $50 just to get it when I already have the game. Another question: What's the difference between ARMA: Armed Assault and ARMA: Combat Operations? Is it just the name and version difference?
xnodunitx 0 Posted April 16, 2008 I'm not sure about QG, its the same case here although I haven't checked the mostly game dedicated stores yet. Arma Armed Assault was the earlier one while CO came with a later patch and the A-10 already in it whereas AAA would need the 1.08 1.06 patch. You may need to order it online or check out..what is it..EBgames?..I can't remember that store..

gsleighter 0 Posted April 16, 2008 I think Arma Gold is only 40 dollars at Best Buy. I bought mine on Amazon, and just gifted the online download version I bought to a friend. Gold is nice, it's 1.08 out of the box, and one DVD to install Arma and QG.

rowdied 44 Posted April 16, 2008 Do like I did and download it from 505 games in the UK and add the dbe1 to your shortcut on the desktop like a mod folder. No problems here from doing it.
Pirin 0 Posted April 16, 2008 Does ArmA Gold need the DVD to be in to play? I got a copy of it from Best Buy, but I'm going to return it and download it since I hate changing DVDs.
gsleighter 0 Posted April 16, 2008 You don't need the DVD in the drive with the beta patches. I suspect that BIS will do the same with Arma that they did with OFP. That is, the beta patches and final patch versions did not require the CD to be in the drive. I like the convenience of not having to re-download something when I want to re-install it, too, without having a 4 gb install file laying around my computer.
