Eagerly awaiting your update.

The quiet radio is great, I so hate "Oh no 2 is down" over and over.

I used to play with radio turned off anyway but now you need the radio turned to full to help with ingame voice.

can i add 1 suggestion?

if I remember correctly in the current version at me there was no way to switch off all effects but having saved only AI_expansion (the grey smoke was in any case))

in the new version can you make that

"each part will be completely independent of others and is compatible with community addons?"?

As I did not find any complete list what to do or any vital

download section...

1) Where do I get the XEH compatible addons? Links seem broken. I got my package from another source

2) Do these make it possible to use ECS in conjunction with DM Smoke Effects's ViewBlock? (if it doesn't work, don't know)

(ArmaFX seems to work with it, it's just marvellous together, DM smoke seems to work, too. Maybe I already have XEH compatible version downloaded? Any way to get rid of DM's ugly fuel-fire effects for burning tankers and aircraft?)

3) Is there a modified Armoury.pbo that makes Soundmod-use possible without losing bullet whizz FX (if that is the case)

4) Are there future plans to edit fire FX. I found out, that it lets tanks & tracked cars burn with ArmaFX fire effects. But Trucks and cars (support and car section) still burn with effect that look very much like vanilla arma.

5) any other plans? what comes next?

Many of these are discussed through out this thread, try "print this topic" then use the find function to search. I'm not sure to what extent these questions are covered though.

For XEH compatible AddOns, I'm not sure what you mean. Do you mean the actual XEH.pbo, The ECS themis.pbo or a list of every AddOns that uses XEH.

Some d/l links are broken to me. Seems I got a themis XEH compatible version myself from another source. Maybe on point 4): are there means or plans to edit the fire fx for cars. they use vanilla arma effects (or fx very similar to those).

I will search the other ones and maybe d'pbo and edit myself

Always check search button and for example Armaholic and search there. I went to Armaholic and searched for "ECS".

Result: http://www.armaholic.com/page.php?id=2956

That is a small file you put in there somewhere with the ECS and it makes it possible to use all other addons with it.

Whenever I put fog in my mission it starts out the same as it usualy does, but then within a min or so the old fog starts to vanish and then this performance eating volumetric fog tries to replace it. i was wondering is there any way i can get rid of the new volumetric fog and just keep the old one. i usualy put fog in my missions to enhance the atmosphere while at the same time help with performance so this is a real prob with me.

Yes there is an new version in dev, i don't have any date of release for now.

The dev team count only 2 people at the moment and we have done to many change to say how we can release it.

We never mentioned this before but people interested by this project can join the group if wanted, just come to talk with us on forum and/or team speak.

Little update:

A new version of the Themis component (v1.0.1) has been released for compatibility with the Extended_Eventhandler addon v1.8

Download as usual on our site: ECS Website - Downloads

Note:

This update is required when running ECS with XEH v1.8, it is not necessary for XEH v1.7 or earlier versions.

i found without six pack 3 , ECS alone, AA Soldier didn't fire at enemy plane.

I have a question:

Yesterday I downloaded the ECS Mod, I like it but I miss the usual radio traffic like "damn...2 is down".

Is this a bug or a feature that the squadradio is muted?

Can I enable it?

Search this thread. I believe the answer is in here. Or read the ReadMe. It explains how to disable stuff and what needs to be tweaked to do it.

Remove ECS_Quiet.pbo from @ECS/addons worked for me with no error message.
