mcpxxl 2 Posted March 6, 2008 After Mapfact released some Addons like MAP_SouthSahrani, a idea suggests itself, to build a fitting MP Mission. But the devil is in the details, one idea forced another which caused finally a previously unplaned addon. After the time of 8 months and nearly endless tests, you come to know what it finally delivers. The fundamental idea was to build a Mission following the Apache Arms transfer. As the result of the missionsize and the required time to finish this mission, we decided to split the mission in Part One and Part Two More information to both missions you get in the downloadpage of Part One and some days later in Part Two. At the beginning we have to script around some inadequacies of ArmA, but later some external features like Grouplink2+ and primary DAC2.0 of Silola enhanced the Missions a lot. Here and there Lester develop some special routines to force vehicle routes much better on the Island. After we got this under our control the wish arise to enhance the units a little bit and especially the 'Heal at medic' self service bothered us a lot ! more info and needed addons at mapfact Share this post Link to post Share on other sites

mcpxxl 2 Posted March 6, 2008 This are fully testet and tuned dedicated MP Missions and addons And no, sorry you should nothing read about clientside addons , so you have to have it on the server also. Some of the routines are done on the server. You can also use it in SP but it is only for players and no AI. In MP mode you need it on both server and client ! We also tought that there should be no addon without a mission for understanding and example. part on = simple ;-) part two --> for men Will release it after a few days because part two is significant harder and can not be done with the right use of your skills ! wolfsblut_ 0 Posted March 22, 2008 Some criticism after having played this mission 3 minutes or so: - I hate the try-and-error-stuff with the steereable para. Why not some quick basic infos (maybe in the mission-briefing-section)? - The same with the "skills" in the weapon-menue. Dont got it how this works or what is this? Why the hell not some short informations about this in the briefing? - I hate the hurry-hurry-the-convoy-arrives-in-30-seconds-stuff and you have no time to plan the ambush in detail. Why do you give the player not at least 5 minutes at the start for checking the situation on the ground. (the abstract planing of the ambush should be made on the map in the briefing)? mcpxxl 2 Posted March 23, 2008 Yes and all things there are planned like it is (sorry) There is only one armored vehicle at the beginning. So with a little training (like in real) there is more then enough time . With one player you only can train to setup stachels or something else... This mission we want a real teamplay , with only two or three player it would be surley danger. In part one you do not need vehicles , but in two the area is to wide. So belive me there is enough time, but also sometimes troups nearby ;-) at the landing site... may the skills be with you PS: Play it with ECS and Matteffects it´s a real eyecandy MCPXXL Share this post Link to post Share on other sites
