armatech 8 Posted January 30, 2008 Hi, ArMaTeC and Boss have been working on a UAV mod/system for the ArmA: Theater of War, Tourney (www.ArmA-Tow.com) this system includes real world info collected from US military advisers. Our system has a few parts that need to be on the map so that it can be used in a full scale battle. Please note this is just a preview of the mod and is not yet final, but its getting close, as Campaign 1 is near over at ArmA-Tow, and that's our dead line (Fingers crossed). And by the way, I have not shown you any of the scripts due to the fact they are secret, and when you see them you'll know why that is. I just hope the US Air Force don't knock on my door. Script features: Navigation plotting Real MTS Ball Movement {Turret on a plane} IR tracking Point and click loiter system Laser targeting and more lots more Parts: PPSL(Predator Primary Satellite link) Desert Woodland GCS(Ground Control Station) American (MQ-9 Reaper) More info for and images at armatechsquad.com

Hi guy's to answer your question these add-ons will have full functionality to actual events as in real life. And yes the command centre is also fully functional for operations
rstratton 0 Posted January 30, 2008 if the scripts were that big of a secret i wouldnt even had mentioned any scripts lol. anyhow nice models , cant wait to play with the new toys
max power 21 Posted January 30, 2008 These look quite nice, but it looks like you're not giving the sensor ball enough UV space. The texture there looks like it could use more detail.
armatech 8 Posted January 30, 2008 It looks better then whats in the shots the small RUS uav dose need more to it but its a performance balance im going for but it dont look bad at all Additions GDT(Ground Data Terminal) Creech AFB style UAV hanger
max power 21 Posted January 30, 2008 It looks better then whats in the shots the small RUS uav dose need more to it but its a performance balance im going for but it dont look bad at all What I meant by detail was texture defintion. Â I was saying that there is not enough pixels to represent your sensor ball adequately. Â The result is blurry and muddy. You can increase the size of the sensor ball in proportion to the rest of the UAV in the UV space without sacreficing any performance.

In game art you want to go with the bare minimum to get the maximum results.

armatech 8 Posted February 1, 2008 the MTS ball is actually a real photo overlay and rapped around as i said it looks better in game and its very balanced also its meant to be up high so the ball would hardly be seen by an human eye. I am getting someone to make a me a movie and i hope this will clear things up for you and in how much detail will  be in it. the main part of this project is the scripts as they make it as true to real life as i can get it. I'm not contesting the accuracy of it or what will be seen at some distance.  I'm sure what you are showing us here represents your highest LOD.  Surely you don't mean to be flippant when you say that it will never be seen.  You should just take a screenshot of it in arma or bulldozer if you mean to convince me that the texture looks less muddy there. It doesn't matter much to me, though, I was just giving you some input on what I saw in your renders
armatech 8 Posted February 1, 2008 yes and point is taken mate i dint mean to sound like i was having a rant at you i like constructive criticism and it can only be good for people to point out issues they see i would like this mod to be the best our team can do so it all good mate. there will be more high detail shots soon it was just WIP shots posted

nuxil 2 Posted October 13, 2008 Amazing work.. this should sute well in a warfare game. Btw,. when Finished with this mod. make a russian like this one http://video.google.com/videose....=title# & http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=M46TMeDiGgU&NR=1 that would be too cool balanced them hardware
armatech 8 Posted October 14, 2008 first ink is a maybe but do you have the propper name and maybe an image with its correct paint job as in that video its orange and normaly this means its a prototype. the only issue im trying to over come is what i call stupid AI mode where the AI will not correctly track waypoints over 600m i belive this is an issue that lots have faced in the past if ya know of a fix for this that dose not involve making all the UAV's super sonic let me know
