Evil_Clown 0 Posted January 13, 2008 Do i need to have the image on my computer too?
Evil_Clown 0 Posted January 13, 2008 I mean, the logo turns up on the site, but not ingame. it says it cant find it on the computer- how do i fix it
ShadowY 0 Posted January 14, 2008 First of all call it logo.paa/pac /jpg and use squad.xml. If armedassault.eu hosts squad.xml then upload the logo. Else you have to upload/host the logo and squad.xml yourself via the provided data space you probably got from your provider or some space somewhere else. Can`t explain it more simple for you dunno what this is but I can`t find a link to Squad.XML at this moment Sq XML editor edit* it looks pretty dead on that site armedassault.eu
Evil_Clown 0 Posted January 14, 2008 Hmm ok. so maybe its the provider thats messing this up... I dont have any personal FTP so whats the best logo host available?
ShadowY 0 Posted January 14, 2008 I don`t know...maybe a clan
ShadowY 0 Posted January 14, 2008 I had a look at a other armedassault.eu site, you probably mentioned this one. Why don`t you contact them to help you out with the logo? AA.eu You can find a download here Squad XML Pro download
Evil_Clown 0 Posted January 14, 2008 Here is my personal xml on armedassault.eu, the flag is just for testing but it shows: http://www.armedassault.eu/squadxml/16839175.xml So i copy this link into my profile, but only a black square turns up and "Alabama" printed bellow, so it connects to the server but it doesnt add the flag. ShadowY 0 Posted January 14, 2008 I can only talk about the old version I use/host myself. Contact them to find out the problem, that`s the only suggestion I have for you.

Pulverizer 1 Posted January 14, 2008 The picture is in .png format. It should be jpg, pac or paa.
jasono 0 Posted January 14, 2008 If you still have problems let me know and send me the XML details via PM on this board - i'll put the XML on the GOL server for you. But I think you got it now, as the above person says - change the file format as PNG is not supported.
ShadowY 0 Posted January 14, 2008 The picture is in .png format. It should be jpg, pac or paa. armedassault.eu asks to upload a .PNG and they probably convert it somehow, so that`s not the problem.
Evil_Clown 0 Posted January 14, 2008 yeah you cant upload anything other than png to armedassault.eu
Evil_Clown 0 Posted January 14, 2008 This is my xml from arma xml hoster. <?xml version="1.0" encoding="UTF-8" standalone="yes"?> <!DOCTYPE squad SYSTEM "squad.dtd"> <?xml-stylesheet href="squad.xsl?" type="text/xsl"?> <squad nick="J.B Cooter"> <name>Alabama</name> <email>J.B Cooter</email> <web>J.B Cooter</web> <picture>Image1</picture> <title></title> <member id="16839175" nick="J.B Cooter"> <name>J.B Cooter</name> <email></email> <icq></icq> <remark>J.B Cooter</remark> </member> </squad> If i put in Image.jpg it screams "ERROR!!!" And the image does not appear. http://sh.armatechsquad.com/J.B Cooter/squad.xml This is the image im trying to use
NeZz_DK 1 Posted January 15, 2008 After what I can see the .paa file defined in the XML file doesn't exist on the site and thats the reason it isn't ingame. have you tried to upload a .jpg og convert it to .paa your self with texView 2 and then reupload it? Yeah i use PGN too as it doesn't have to have a white background. then convert that to paa.
