What exactly do you mean with "autorun"?

Sorry I mean like a button you can push to make you run/walk without having to hold down W or whatever?

No you can't make it stay running, would be a good feature

And on another note, I was hiding behind a building just yesterday and I wanted to stop crouching and get closer to the corner but my man kept running a bit and I got shot, lol

Thanks!

I figured there wasn't but thought I would check anyways. My friend has bad wrists and wants to play but could only really play with some kinda auto run.

Maybe we can figure something out.

Thanks guys!

i think it would be a good feature. still remember the old game by EA, SEAL Team. it was open. free roaming. just like ARMA/OFP. and its movement was great. press arrow key up once, u walk. press again, and u run. just like what u do as commander of a vehicle in arma/ofp. it was good because stealth was the essence it all those missions. so u dont want to tire your fingers just to keep your avatar moving... and keep your fingers free to do other task like giving orders(picking your nose included nener.gif )

damn.. gave me back the nostalgia. it was a really good game imho. still got the manual, though not the disk sad_o.gif

Umm... huh.gif

AFAIK, Sprint (=run) and "Jog" (=normal moving speed) can be assigned to different keys. By default sprint is double-tab W, and then you just hold in that key. Note though that in ArmA, after sprinting for a while you'll get tired and will eventually move slower than at a jog. If you prefer to "always sprint" you could just assign sprint to your standard move-forward key...mind though you won't be able to hit the side of a barn after continuous sprinting :P

Wolfrug

thanks for the link shins.. though its ESA protected, so cannot download.

on topic:

i think the point of the OP is not to hold the W key when moving. not necessarily run(sprint). since this game sometimes require a lot of moving around in a long period of time (sometimes no contact) so i think it does need this feature. yeah i just wish i could just press W once and my avatar would just go forward indefinitely. until i press S to stop. a toggle would be nice. because in combat, the current one is more convenient to use.

Use this... http://www.autohotkey.com/

to create with standby-macros any key-options you want. If you are interested i will post the source-code of the hold-down-button-macro.
