Wardude1987 0 Posted September 1, 2007 Is it possible for me to holster my pistol and sling my rifle over my shoulder at the same time? I have seen people in the game walking with both hands free but I assume thats b/c they have no weapons at all.
the unknown 0 Posted September 1, 2007 So far (1.08) its not posible to holster your pistol. it is posible to have your rifle in a sort of safe patrole stance, as far as i know its not posible to have your gun on safe like in flashpoint.
PASTOR 0 Posted September 1, 2007 you can remove the pistol quite easily using the removeAllWeapons command. I hope they do fix holstering weapons and putting the rifle on the back in next patch.
Commando84 0 Posted September 2, 2007 no they should keep the rifle infront as it is, i think it looks way cooler than the old gun on back anim. Besides combat units should kep it infront so they are ready to faster be prepared for combat
Col. Faulkner 0 Posted September 2, 2007 no they should keep the rifle infront as it is, i think it looks way cooler than the old gun on back anim. Besides combat units should kep it infront so they are ready to faster be prepared for combat  For flexibility of application, they could add a menu option to sling a long gun ("gun on back" in OFP terminology) or holster a pistol, while still keeping the cradle carry for long guns and the isosceles stance for pistols as the default. The Units you have seen ingame that can holster a handgun and take a rifle to back are A.I. Human players can't do this. A circumstance that I can't understand. Anythig including animation is in there...BIS just left out the action menue entry.

This Is how I do it: Gear up and make sure you take a rocket launcher. Make the rocket launcher the primary weapon and then lie down. Now stand up and you'll have your hands free... frederf 0 Posted September 2, 2007 There is a "hide M136" pseudo-weapon in game. Why there isn't a "Hide M9" pseudo-weapon just the same is beyond me. Also would be kinda cool if having an M9 in your pistol slot would have it visible in your holster (if the model had one).
liljb15 0 Posted September 2, 2007 I want to be able to holster my pistol. but I want to still be able to hold my rifle in front I always hated the fact that I couldn't do it in ofp.
mchide 0 Posted September 2, 2007 Its possible via scripting. First you need to save wich handgun player have. Second add him new action ( Holster h.gun) wich leads to remove...In same script add new action ( UnHolster h.gun) in wich you have to load type of gun wich you stored before. There was one simlar script allready writen... it is for giving back your weapons if you loose them in water.
