ricoadf 0 Posted October 30, 2007 ive been told that when deployed the dont have their plates on, however the crew often put on their own customs for fun, hence the difference.
Wa_Va_Voom 0 Posted October 30, 2007 The normal maps on the troops need to be altered so you don't get those annoying MOLLE outlines, but otherwise the paint scheme is looking pretty good. Common Cam use your patriotism and help out dude, make the Infantry for the ADF mod.

Cool mate - sorry, just wasn't super keen on the "FKOF" rego plate - maybe just a blank space or mud smeared over an Aussie plate might be better? But, I'm getting ahead of myself mate - it's your rockshow, please do what you think's best!
ricoadf 0 Posted October 30, 2007 It was pretty much an in house joke, I think alot of addons lack a sense of humor now adays
BravoMike7 0 Posted October 31, 2007 looking cool mate, but the textures on the infantry are still... i dunno how to say it? they just look a tad wrong? I dont know if the screenshots low quality but they look discoloured / stretched. if you know another aussie guy called Eagle Eye, he did a really good desert auscam mod that id recomend looking at if not asking his permission to include. but yeah as the others have said some weathered effects on the vehicles is what arma really needs - none of this "brand new off the factory floor" look everything has in game (only the civie vehicles look weathered which is a shame ) either way id say have a talk to eagle eye as he may have some good advice on how to fix up your infantry textures. I think the ratios are a bit wrong(i.e. in some areas the auscam looks too big and in some areas too small) and texture fabric is also a bit disjointed i.e. where the seems are and the actual fabric itself looks a bit different, if you change this is would look really good. BravoMike7 0 Posted November 1, 2007 yeah thats definitely one area that needs a bit of touching up. Will be cool to see the finished product though mate - look forward to it

layne_suhr 0 Posted November 4, 2007 Looking sweeet! Cannot wait for it to come out However are you going to make the Blackhawk, Eurocopter and Kiowa???
Stewy 1 Posted November 4, 2007 Looks great mate - loving all the pics! Stew
ricoadf 0 Posted November 4, 2007 Just finishing the blackhawks textures and its basically done for the moment, got a Tiger but it needs to be fully converted to arma but havent got a kiowa model atm. We do have the MRH-90 tho
AfrographX 0 Posted November 4, 2007 Hey Rico, do you want an updated Nh90 model? So far it's only the improved model (only1st LOD + detailed cockpit and cargo room). It's fully uvw-mapped, things left to do: making the other LODs, all that config stuff and of course the textures. I have it lying around and am not intending to do anything with it. Send me a PM if you are interested.
Wa_Va_Voom 0 Posted November 5, 2007 http://img362.imageshack.us/img362/513/arm...17044712et9.jpghttp://img218.imageshack.us/img218/9058/ar...17040839ne9.jpg http://img207.imageshack.us/img207/5995/ar...17042004lh9.jpg http://img137.imageshack.us/img137/1769/ar...17042746il7.jpg Fixed the fabric effect so it no longer looks like the soldiers have a net over their helmats Rico that looks good, if you have a chance start adding seem lines to the fabric it will make it look alot realistic i.e. on the Boonie hats add seems to where the fabric are sown together etc. I would love to help but i'm a bit busy with study and work. I'll do some internet searching and find some tutorials.
ricoadf 0 Posted November 5, 2007 it does have some stitching on the hat around the flat part (from top or bottom view) hard to see from those side shots, I'll have to find my Boonie hat i have sitting around and see what it looks like
layne_suhr 0 Posted November 5, 2007 For the Kiowa it would be cool if you could do the following - Gunner seat can go into the Laser Pod view and target vehicles for IR Guided missiles and bombs - FFAR Pod - Minigun at the front or sides
VXR 9 Posted November 5, 2007 For the Kiowa it would be cool if you could do the following- Gunner seat can go into the Laser Pod view and target vehicles for IR Guided missiles and bombs - FFAR Pod - Minigun at the front or sides A Minigun on the front? I believe a sidemounted minigun facing towards the front is possible but a minigun on the nose isnt I think.
ricoadf 0 Posted November 6, 2007 For the Kiowa it would be cool if you could do the following- Gunner seat can go into the Laser Pod view and target vehicles for IR Guided missiles and bombs - FFAR Pod - Minigun at the front or sides Aussie Kiowas are basic, VERY basic, this basic: So arming and giving it a laser designator would be inapropriate, its just a recon chopper
layne_suhr 0 Posted November 6, 2007 I knwo i saw one at the Avalon Airshow They are cool But i think if you could actually do laser designating that would be cool  Or it could just be the Replacment of the MH-6's  For the Eurocopter are you going to have all the features? front mounted chain gun, 1 Missile pod on each side, 2 Hellfires on ech side and Camera on top of the Cockpit?
ricoadf 0 Posted November 6, 2007 It's the ARH Tiger that is going to have the Laser Designator And yes it will have its weapons as expected But we need people to help convert our models over to arma

ricoadf 0 Posted December 17, 2007 I've got a bug with the troops atm. Ive swapped the model previously used with a MLOD format of them, and yet they now have issues with animations etc, any ideas why? Heres a pic: http://img100.imageshack.us/img100/5302/lolpj3.jpg
khayes 0 Posted December 17, 2007 my guess is, it's related to the config.cpp, maybe something is wrong in the skeleton class. check this tutorial if you want, you can send me the model and its config, i'll take a look and try to fix it
