If u mean the GPS device on the map screen - u can hold mouse click and drag it around the screen.

all the windows are too far to the right of the screen, not really on the edge to the left.

It looks like you're pressing the key combination for the 'Stay up' GPS. I think that's 'Toggle GPS' in the Controls option dialogue.

Go there, look for the key you've bound to just 'GPS', and then hold that down to get a bigger version of GPS.

According the the pic you posted, the GPS is right where it is suppose to be. Its not meant to be all the way to the left of the screen.

that sucks, i thought its only a widescreen problem? have to test that, anyway there must be a chance to change the x position of the gps window!

All GUI/HUD/dialogs are drawn within the central 4:3 section of the screen. It's done this way since so every aspect ratio can works with just one configuration.

It would probably be possible to make a widescreen specific HUD/GUI config if you wanted too.

How would I move the GPS map outside of the 4:3 screen on my widescreen?

I'd like to strip the artwork off of it (only map) and move it to the upper right hand corner.

I'd also like to move my radio buffer text to the lower left hand corner.

I play on a widescreen so the gps hud, radio buffer text ect do not appear along the edge of the screen like they do on a 4:3 resolution screen.     They still appear in the positions they would if I was on a 4:3 screen and the game appears to ignore the extra screen area that widescreen has when it comes to drawing UI elements.

I'd like to move them over if that's possible.

You could try checking out the TrueMod, it changes the UI and moves the GPS (and resizes it) down to the bottom-right.
