Rogue2020 0 Posted February 16, 2002 I have them but I can't hardly ever get them to turn on with flashpoint...I launch the game and the screen blurs but the glasses don't enable.......it's really to bad because from what I have seen when they worked it would have started a whole new era in gaming for me..... suchey 0 Posted February 22, 2002 If you switch between 1st and 3rd person view forget it...when you have them set correctly for 1st person 3rd person goes out of whack and visa versa...I also experienced some trouble in some of the vehicles...they certainly add ALOT to the view, but were unusable in gameplay for me...they just werent reliable enough and seemed to loase their settings alot...I was spending more time getting the glasses re-worked than laying the game...they are on a shelf now. Rogue2020 0 Posted February 22, 2002 Yeah but what I did like about them was the scenery was perfect....in most games you can see alittle of 2 images but not in flashpoint....

I don't know what glasses you have, but I have the eDimensional wired 3D ones, and I use nVidia's stereo drivers, not those from eDimensional. OFP looks great, and switching between 1st and 3rd person doesn't screw anything up. What DOES look weird is that smoke and HUD items are "floating", and seemed to be "stuck" to the monitor's glass.... ehehhe... I don't know how to describe it, closest thing I think you can picture is imagine a fire going ("this inflame TRUE") then you look at it, the firepit is at the correct perspective and depth from you, but the smoke it gives out is NEARER to you than the pit... ie, disjointed. Same goes for the subtitles, mission texts, etc... but those are okay, I actually prefer them "floating".... but what irritates the heck out of me is the aiming cross-hairs... they are impossible to aim with in 3D, but that isn't too big a deal for me too... I normally use the boresights anyway ("V" key)...
Mister Frag 0 Posted April 3, 2002 I got my eDimensional wireless glasses yesterday, and they make OFP look amazing at home on my GeForce3 Ti200. I'm still working on retraining my brain, and use only about 3% divergence right now, but that still delivers strong depth perception. No problems with switching between 1st/3rd person views here, either. I am using the V23.11 Detonator Reference Drivers and V23.11 Stereo Enabler from NVIDIA. I took them to the office today to show the guys, and hooked them up to my old GeForce2 GTS that currently lives in one of the office PCs, and they worked fine there as well once we figured out that NVMax was forcing V-Sync off.
