max power 21 Posted May 31, 2007 If you had done any actual reading in this thread at ALL you would know that in order to unlock armoury items you must do the challenges in the armoury. Everytime you accumulate a multiple of 200 points, something is unlocked. Everytime you exit the armoury, your points return to zero, but everything you unlock stays unlocked. Check the attitude. I wasn't looking for a flaming match. I was referring to this quote, and I have read the entire thread: Quote[/b] ]If you complete all the singleplayer missions, everything in armory should be unlocked (it worked for me). Its taken from page 1. Note the end. Additionally, the big thing is going up against tanks with small arms. You can't chalk this up to feature unless BIS are sadistic developers who just want people to be frustrated, which I don't believe. It might be working as designed, but as a software developer I know that some design is flawed from the start. It happens to the best of us, I know it damn well has happened to me enough times. Frankly, I don't want to have to sit in a M113 for 40 minutes trying to unlock everything (its not fun), but I'd rather unlock things instead of cheat. Flaming? Haha. Okeedokee. I'd imagine that the problem you are experiencing would be as a result of the fact that this is a beta patch, not a full release. If you don't wish to have this problem in version 1.08 or perhaps some future patch, I would report your error to the BTS or perhaps the 1.07 feedback thread. edit: Completing all SP missions unlocks the library. Not, as far as I know, the armoury.

I would assume that if I'm posting that I would have read the thread. Like I said, check the attitude. Is it so much to answer someone's question respectfully on these forums or are we a bunch of immature 12 year olds? Back on topic. I'll make a post in the BTS about it. To me it seems like its a nasty design flaw. I was under the impression that the library was supposed to be replaced by the Armory, but I understand now. Thank you. Jester_UK 0 Posted May 31, 2007 Weegee, check Kabong's first post on pg3 of this thread. He put together a list to edit your XML file with that unlocks everything (single missions and everything in the armoury). I'm using it and it works great. Just back up your original XML file first just incase. Hope this helps.

I really wish I cared that I hurt your feelings. If you read through the thread your answer would be answered hundreds of times. I'd also like to call your attention to the definition of the word 'design flaw'. As if you know that they purposefully designed challenges in the library to be impossible. On the contrary, I think it's simply due to the beta nature of the patch, for which you are welcome to find and report problems.
adadaead 0 Posted June 1, 2007 Am i the only one who has this. The ai in the armory shoot like they are olympic gold medalist super snipers . One time in defend your position challenge i run into those bomb shelter bunker things, well i spotted the slodier running from the little window or opening on the side he was like 5 feet away well before i could do ANYTHING there was ONE shot (through the same little window) and i was killed. i also think they have superman sense of hearing since sometimes they can spot you like 150-200 meters away while you are crawling. Any body has expreinced this ai is unrealisticly accurate with super fast reflexes, they don't even aim or train their sights on you.
adadaead 0 Posted June 1, 2007 Let me also add i know that Arma isn't a rambo game i've learned that when i got it after not playing flashpoint for like a year or more. Even in flashpoint being a rambo offline is just getting used to controls and low difficulty setting for the ai. In arma cover is essential just like in real world but when you peep out of cover to take a shot and the guy shoots you from 200 meters away with like one shoot. plus the ai take multiple single shots at you, what i mean is if i try to do that i become very inacurate i have to re aim after single shot or burst. plus alot of comfrontations don't have cover we just shoot in open field. They should have made a tactical civil war simulation.
DnA 5154 Posted June 1, 2007 If you want to get all gear the easy way, go take a ponder at a community info centre near you!

I'll also make a feature request on the BTS. Quote[/b] ]If you want to get all gear the easy way, go take a ponder at a community info centre near you! Well, the thing was that I didn't want to get it the easy way. I actually wanted to do the challenges, but I'm limited to the non combat ones for the most part since there's no possible way a single soldier armed with only an AK 74 could take on a Stryker with M2 and a HMMWV with M2. max power 21 Posted June 6, 2007 Firstly, let me appologize for being a jerk up there. Secondly, I must admit that I was wrong about unlocking stuff in the armoury. Sometimes stuff gets unlocked when you do single missions. Also, when you do all of the single missions excluding Blood, Sweat, and Tears, almost everything becomes unlocked. I'm now down to unlocking smoke grenades. I just did the red one. Wooo!
