fasad 1 Posted April 24, 2007 This is relevant since CodeMaster's Operation Flashpoint 2 is said to use the same engine. The engine is pretty, but I'm curious as to it's ability to render an object filled landscape over thousands of meters. I've only seen a couple of shots in game in which the view distance is more that one kilometer, and even then it is a road corridor surrounded by barren backdrop. AWDrift 0 Posted April 24, 2007 I hope they get the EvoX and the new Impreza into the final game. The Evo wagon that mitsubishi has been keeping under wraps would be cool too.

CsonkaPityu 0 Posted April 24, 2007 Looks great. But i think i'm seeing 2D backgrounds as part of the skybox... which would mean the areas in OFP2 would be small unless they heavily modify the engine.
-ZG-BUZZARD 0 Posted April 24, 2007 I used to have a Thrustmaster GP1 racing wheel - well, I still do, but since it's analogue and it's been abused so much, it's no longer accurate (huge "dead" area) ... and I always wonder if I should get myself a new wheel or not, since none of the wheels so far available feel like the real thing (does anybody know of any wheel for the PC which has no turn limitation? ) . And not having a wheel affects my ability to play these games, since I would never drive with my joystick, and keyboards have their limits... Looks good though, let's see what the game engine will do for OFP2...
NeMeSiS 11 Posted April 24, 2007 Looks quite promising, im not totally sure how it will handle big areas/alot of units but i think we can pretty safely say that OFP2 is going to have better car handling then Game2/ArmA
karantan 0 Posted April 24, 2007 Why it could not handle the open space and lots of units, is this only in BIS's and their graphic engine domain? Yea, a better car handling (give every soldier his armed humvee and wroooom ratatatata   ), and we can be pretty certain a better AI.
NeMeSiS 11 Posted April 24, 2007 and we can be pretty certain a better AI. Can we conclude this from a rally video? Quote[/b] ]is this only in BIS's and their graphic engine domain? No, but we cant see how the Neon engine will handle such things from this video
karantan 0 Posted April 24, 2007 Can we conclude this from a rally video? No but from retarded ArmaA's AI. Â Quote[/b] ]No, but we cant see how the Neon engine will handle such things from this video I think every thing can be optimised, EVEN this graphic engine. As I said, I just can't see that Codemasters will allow themselves to shit a stick here.
slingblade20000 0 Posted April 24, 2007 just a view things i saw that it looks like a few missed 1.AI use of bridges 2.It looks like you could have what i would call true damage values for vehicles instead of just turning a rust color. Like blowing a tank trax off or doors off a hummv. lol..maybe even soilder damage values

The next is the DFP which also has 900 degree rotation, but lacks the clutch& H pattern shifter. After that is the MOMO, It's like the DFP, but with 240 degree rotation. All have paddle shifters and sequential shifters and you can be competitive online with each. Price wise  G25=300$         DFP=150$         MOMO= around 100$ They work with PS3 and PS2 too as long as the game supports it.

slingblade20000 0 Posted April 25, 2007 yes i do know that, but what im comparing it to OFP1 and Armed Assult now. I think most of the complaints in reguards to those 2 "might" be done in OFP2 with correct dammage values.
