tryed ur mod and it sounds cool, u just got some tweaking to do, for example to bring out the metal sound more when fireing saw, and overall sounds could be more louder, and have a feeling ur fireing a machinegun and not a airgun.

but overall nice job, I think i will use this instead of FDF mod.

oh and GJ on the reload sounds too they sound perfect smile_o.gifsmile_o.gif

i have an issue with the marakov silenced sound.

LINK TO VIDEO - streaming seems to be down, but it's only 19mb.

basically there is no sound when firing. the other associated sounds are fine, just no firing.

i had a similar issue with some of the swissmod sounds, and this was apparently due to the sound being a stereo??!? link to thread.

the m249 SAW you already know about.

other than that, great work on the improvements, love the silenced m4 now, sounds great.

Yes and it works with 1.07 beta patch w00t w00t.

only thing i see a major standout issue with the sound is the grenade noises... those things are extremely loud irl, but ingame they sound very dubbed down. shoot a m203 or lob a nade and youll see.. mabey you missed them?

I am working on a 1.07 Version with A-10 and stuff that does not work with the new beta.

Which sound for the GAU-8 I should use?

This one (plane approaching) or

this one (plane passed listener)

where did you get the sniper rifle that looks like the barrett from? the 1 the AI is using,or is it called something else,I have been looking for this for days now.

That's the M107, it was first introduced with the 505 release and later brought to all with patch 1.05

@ThePredator: Downloaded the mod and gonna try it out over the next days. I'm using FDF sounds atm, but don't really like the reverb on most of the weapons.

another issue i'm afraid - this time running with the 1.07 patch.

the mp5 and mp5sds have a new firing mode - burst (is it new? i don't remember it anyway).

it has different sfx to the single shot and full auto.

below are 2 videos.

on a side note, why does the single and full modes have no recoil? it only happens when creating a local game.

You should know that the 0.153 is for the 1.05 release, so everything introduced in 1.07 is not changed.

I am working on that.

I did not modify the config, so this is not my concern biggrin_o.gif

Yeah, sounds sweet in-game. Was just wondering why I have to put the CAA10 in the requiredaddon field, but not something added prior to ArmA.

Any insight on this?

Uploaded two videos to YouTube demonstrating the new A-10 sound effects. However, I seem to have difficulties with the 30mm explosions, which are not those I configured.

The A-10 config causes some issues, it seems.

Yes, that was no problem, just the result of the new firing mode in 1.07.

In my config mod that was fixed long time ago...

Well, the issue is that the game does not play the sounds for the ammunition.

I made a new sound for the impacts but the game refuses to play those.

I made a new sound for the unrealistic 2-second burst and made a new explosion sound for the Maverick.

Well, if I know how to play the impact sounds, I can release the 1.07 version of Modern Warfare.

i'm well chuffed with the beta, so take all the time you need to get the a-10 to how you want it! (unless you reach an engine limitation first...)

ArmA should model the Doppler effect, so a sound where the plane and listener are not moving relative to each other might be better.

OFP modeled the Doppler effect, so I'm assuming ArmA does.

ArmA has some doppler effect, but nothing close to the real life.

The GAU-8 sounds like a elephant's fart after you hear the muzzle blast. Those are two sounds ArmA can't handle just by the doppler effect system used.

One thing I really hate in the sound engine is the fact, that you can exclude (obstruct) sounds from the outside created by other sources but not the own vehicle.

Example: The engine of the A-10 should be barely audible in the cockpit and obstruct the outside sounds as well.

But in ArmA you hear the engine like from the outside, not dampened.

pred , your actual "sound only" pack doesnt include burstsound value.
