Makou107 0 Posted March 10, 2007 Does ArmA use Fade? After installing the 1.05 patch my aim is now messed up. I did buy this game damnit and I'm starting to feel like I'm getting ripped off patch after patch. I love you ArmA....
wamingo 1 Posted March 10, 2007 How is your aim messed up? Sorry I don't know if fade is in.
Makou107 0 Posted March 10, 2007 Before the patch where I was aiming at I would hit. I'm talking about looking on the ground and shooting doesn't even hit the same spot! Not talking about shooting this farther away though it has of course been affected as well.

He would´nt get this error damnit could it be related to the colision geometry bug? 2131 ...which is already stated as fixed in next patch.
mr burns 132 Posted March 10, 2007 Imho, no It could be reltated to an illegal copy of the game though
W0lle 1052 Posted March 10, 2007 There is no fade in ArmA, since the fade copy protection belongs to Codemasters.
Jester_UK 0 Posted March 10, 2007 Imho, no It could be reltated to an illegal copy of the game though  Well your opinion would be wrong then, at least in as far as (if I understood the original poster properly) it being anything to do with an illegal copy of ArmA. Whether Fade does cause this type of symptom or not I wouldn't know. I thought it kicked you into seagull view with a message about "Good birds" or something (as mentioned in a post on these forums earlier today). I also noticed that if I aimed at a spot on the ground near my feet the bullet impact was off from the sights cursor. This was present in 1.04 and is still present in 1.05. Before you ask, yes I have a legal copy. At distances over about 50m the sights seems spot on. At shorter ranges the bullet strike seems slightly off the sights, but doesn't seem off far enough to miss a target completely. I just assumed it was something to do with the distance the sights are modelled as being zero'ed at. This is the case with both the M-4 and the AK-74 (I've only tried the M-16 a couple of times and the G-36 even less so can't really comment on those rifles). I haven't really tested the sidearms yet either.

So why did several people on our forums complain about aiming problems like the ones that only could be seen with OFP FADE? Trust me i know what i´m talkin about.. shadow 6 Posted March 10, 2007 So why did several people on our forums complain about aiming problems like the ones that only could be seen with OFP FADE?Trust me i know what i´m talkin about.. He didnt say it wasnt copy-protection related, but I can assure you it is not FADE (CM owns that name). But enough speculation on good birds, bad birds and lousy shots. Copy-protection is not be discussed at these forums. Closing.
