suma 8 Posted February 26, 2007 Good question. I have edited the pinned topic to contain: Quote[/b] ]The bug can be seen both in Catalyst 7.1 and 7.2, we did not test with older versions yet.
Dwarden 1125 Posted February 26, 2007 wonder when ATI get that problem fixed ... i doubt they fix it in 7.3 due timing ... realistic seems to be 7.4 driver  p.s. good job on tracking that bug !
thr0tt 12 Posted February 26, 2007 Thanks for answer. It would be handy to know what version it started appearing on as it will not be fixed in 7.3 as that will already be out for WHQL so earliest would be 7.4 but again very doubtful. I would be happy to put older drivers on.

NoRailgunner 0 Posted February 26, 2007 Maybe the other possibility is to test with ATI(AMD) - Omega Driver? OmegaDrivers (read: OMEGA DRIVERS README)
kenjara 0 Posted February 26, 2007 I have only just installed the 7.2 drivers, im gonna see if it affects me too much because im too lazy to roll back to 6.9 yet hehe. And yes it would be intersting to know if this problem appears in the omega 7.1 drivers too. If anyone has tested it please let us know.
suma 8 Posted February 26, 2007 And yes it would be interesting to know if this problem appears in the omega 7.1 drivers too. Most likely it does - Omega drivers is nothing miraculous, it is a Catalyst driver with some registry tweaks. I did not test it, though.
suma 8 Posted February 26, 2007 its gone for me in 6.9 only sometime those flashing things are still there Are you sure? I have just tried 6.9 and I have seen the problem with them, same as with 6.10, 6.11, 7.1 and 7.2. When I tried 6.7, I did not see the problem. I did not test with 6.8 yet. hokum15 2 Posted February 27, 2007 Does this issue only effect windows 32bit OS's? I user Xp pro X64 and have noticed no slow down after many hours of running the game.
thr0tt 12 Posted February 27, 2007 Does this issue only effect windows 32bit OS's? I user Xp pro X64 and have noticed no slow down after many hours of running the game. Lucky for you then. Don't worry about the drivers if it doesn't effect you. Even if it did effect your o/s but your were not seeing the 'effects' then, again, why worry.

desertfox 2 Posted February 27, 2007 Knobs !! My next gfx card is an Nvidia again. As I've said before. I have little knowledge about gpu driver infrastructure, but I figure this shouldn't take ages to fix. Hope the next driver performs ok.
