Good question.

I have edited the pinned topic to contain:

Quote[/b] ]The bug can be seen both in Catalyst 7.1 and 7.2, we did not test with older versions yet.

wonder when ATI get that problem fixed ...

i doubt they fix it in 7.3 due timing ...

realistic seems to be 7.4 driver  crazy_o.gif

p.s. good job on tracking that bug !

Thanks for answer. It would be handy to know what version it started appearing on as it will not be fixed in 7.3 as that will already be out for WHQL so earliest would be 7.4 but again very doubtful.

I would be happy to put older drivers on.

I have only just installed the 7.2 drivers, im gonna see if it affects me too much because im too lazy to roll back to 6.9 yet hehe.

And yes it would be intersting to know if this problem appears in the omega 7.1 drivers too. If anyone has tested it please let us know. smile_o.gif

Most likely it does - Omega drivers is nothing miraculous, it is a Catalyst driver with some registry tweaks. I did not test it, though.

its gone for me in 6.9 only sometime those flashing things are still there wow_o.gif

Are you sure? I have just tried 6.9 and I have seen the problem with them, same as with 6.10, 6.11, 7.1 and 7.2.

When I tried 6.7, I did not see the problem. I did not test with 6.8 yet.

Does this issue only effect windows 32bit OS's? I user Xp pro X64 and have noticed no slow down after many hours of running the game.

Lucky for you then. Don't worry about the drivers if it doesn't effect you. Even if it did effect your o/s but your were not seeing the 'effects' then, again, why worry.

Knobs !!

My next gfx card is an Nvidia again. As I've said before. I have little knowledge about gpu driver infrastructure, but I figure this shouldn't take ages to fix. Hope the next driver performs ok.
