froggyluv 2136 Posted February 24, 2007 I'd just like to say well done to BIS for such a great game.I dont have it am i the only one who thinks that doesn't make sense at all? think what he means is that it is sold out everywhere he lives so cant buy it-meaning it must be damn good if sold out !!! still doesn't make sense. so a game's gotta be good because it's not in the stores? i got news for you: most stores didn't even get ArmA in the first place, at least where i live (Switzerland). only the more specialized game shops actually did. and apparently they got/bought only a small quantity at first, because most of those shops ran out of copies quickly. Well it doesn't make sense that you are still on these forums either, Fred. Dig it. Why would anyone in their right mind waste their time in a forum for a game they hated
Daniel 0 Posted February 24, 2007 Saw loads of ArmA copies in GAME at number 2 in the chart, made me smile.
Tracer 0 Posted February 24, 2007 I must admit though Reado's quote is a cracker!! Here's mine; "Thanks Bentley for making an amazing £250,000 car, i can't afford it (as in NEVER will), but it must be a brilliant car 'cause it cost a 1/4 Million £" I do however own ArmA and it's a 'good' game with flaws - certainly not 'briliant'. We are hoping that it get's polished up quite a bit and get's put under a giant iron and as many problems ironed out of it. It isn't a patch on OFP though. There; an unbiased opinion

ck-claw 1 Posted February 24, 2007 We are hoping that it get's polished up quite a bit and get's put under a giant iron and as many problems ironed out of it. That the beauty of BIS!!! Cause you know that will happen!
kenjara 0 Posted February 24, 2007 Yeah well done for bringing me some much needed operation flashpoint style action. Been waiting years to play anything as good as ofp. I knows its just gonna get better and better as patches and community addons are released!
Oliver_Reed 0 Posted February 27, 2007 Congrats to BI for a great game so far! I'm not an OFP player - but have played CounterStrike, Battlefield, Ravenshield, SWAT4, Ghost Recon and sadly, Ghost Recon Advanced Warfighter (but thats best forgotten). Its a hell of a learning curve for me, but well worth it for the great gameplay and what looks like an active community. Cheers Ollie
memnoch 0 Posted February 28, 2007 I've said it before and I'll say it again. I just can't believe people still play Counterstrike with games like this available. I haven't even touched VBS since this was released.
Luciano 0 Posted February 28, 2007 Maybe because some people have a life and want to devote 30 minutes to gaming, not an entire day. In CSS, or Red Orchestra, I can have a 30 m game and enjoy it. In ARMA, I would need to devote half a day.

In ARMA, I would need to devote half a day. Those same people "with lives" also wouldn't spend all their free time trolling the game in question's forum posting the same whiney shit over and over Yeah, the campaign sucks balls, but the rest of the game and more specifically the engine offers MASSIVE potential. If you want to be part of it, grab some tools, read some tutes and start learning how to do stuff. If not, kindly GTFO and stop whineing about it
dmitri 0 Posted February 28, 2007 In ARMA, I would need to devote half a day. Since you've never played OFP (your statement above is proof), and you don't like ArmA - why are you posting here?
memnoch 0 Posted February 28, 2007 Plus what he says isn't even true. If you want a quick fix there are DM servers as well. So you can do what you want, when you want within reason. I once spent 6hrs on one mission and had a hell of a time. Other times I don't have that luxury so will settle for some CTF action. I once joined a server and after an hour or so finished the mission but it had been running for over 14hrs. I wonder if anyone stayed on for the whole time? The mission just uses skipTime so the players can choose at which daytime they want to play.
