A case in point, I just joined a server and a d***head was TKing people with a minigun as they spawned.

I would post his name here but i would probably be guilty of a TOS infraction.

Hopefully he will be banned from all the decent servers soon.

The most frustrating thing is when eg. aircavalry u play the long mission

and do objectives, and then The NOOB walks in the server and destroys all the helis and service trucks lol

Disable Friendly Fire if you can't handle an accidental teamkill, disable your internet connection if you can't handle a few idiots joining your sever or password it.

Thers a difference between accidental Teamkilling, which is going to happen and blatent team killing which is just down to idiots. Its the Blatent teamkilling thats this issue in this thread.

It would be nice if BIS could impliment an auto punt command into the dedicated sever script, something like:-

tkpunt = 3 ;// kicks player after 3 teamkills

Atleast that would lift some of the tension.

The way i do it atm is if i see anyone being a NOOB on purpose, Tking, Abusing me as Admin becuase he wanted the coop restarted [it happened] i take there IDs and BAN them on a few servers, which me and fello guy trade banned ids of noobs and since they get banned from 3 main servers there luck runs out.

BTW: If anyone wants my ban list for there server of noobs/abusers/illegal copy players i will be please to PM you it.

I will get wrong off moderators for posting players IDs even if they are noobs and what not.

But it works also with a message at the server start

"Team Killers and General Noobing will get you permanently BANNED"

Anyone good at writing SQL/PHP then we could do this on an online database ( makes it easier ).

http://armedassault.lan.online.fr/banarma/ is made with php/SQL and so with an online database, thus, the site is independent of the webmaster... and totaly autonomus. anyone who have the access can put in the database the ArmaID banned, which can be seeing by everybody

Thats certainly heading in the right direction, but by having the ID's seen by everyone may lead to abuse.

Does youir databse produce a list of ID's only ? Thinking about this, would it be possible for it to produce a banlist.txt file on demand from the database ( for the users with access ).

the aim is to release the banned for all the communauty, not for a few user)... they will not have abuse, the personn who ban have their identity stored in the database for each ID banned... if he abuse, he will be banned to.

if they are abuse, it's for one month only, all data will be automatically deleted after 1 month... and the banned could join again server which not use this ban list.

if they are a big abuse, i can delete the data before the month passed.

i think they will be over 1% abuse, it's not a reason to defend the 99% of idiots and abuse will not be permanently...

Yeah, it has amazed me in the last couple of days just how many people try joining with an illegal copy. It makes me laugh, stupid idiots. Go out and buy the damn game like the rest of us...

We do need some sort of protection against guys who destroy a perfectly good running game, with others enjoying teamwork.

I tried to post something up back in early January but it fell on deaf ears(I was hoping BIS may take an interest & see that there is a problem):-

So far we have roughly banned about 25 guys for constant, deliberate TKing (After they had been warned)I find it  not fair to ruin a perfect played game because a TKer comes on and abuses these rights, then having to run a server down just to ban these idiots. The gameplay is then ruined!!

Lets hope this issue will be sorted out soon, wether it be form BIS or even decent server admins or even the guys sticking their heads together to stop these ppl ruining the gameplay.
