rainbow 0 Posted January 7, 2007 Today i checked ArmA folder in data of application and i saw there file arma.rpt (log file) which weighs above 90mb! In this file is only log with errors from in-game. This file is completely unnecessary. Better check it on your computer. (notepad couldn't open it ) Path to this folder/file (for example:) C:\\Documents and Settings\Administrator (YOUR PROFILE NAME)\Data of application (THIS FOLDER IS HIDDEN)\ArmA It can has other folders names because i haven't got english version of Windows. Dwarden 1125 Posted January 7, 2007 it's logfile and ArmA append output into it ... so it grow over time
SWAT_BigBear 0 Posted January 7, 2007 When you submit a Microsoft Windows and/or game crash error's, it helps more for them to track everything that caused it. Once all patches produce the fixes, that file will slow down alot...in growth.
Maddmatt 1 Posted January 8, 2007 Well the file shouldn't be allowed to grow so big, it should have a limit or start over when a new session of ArmA is launched.
suma 8 Posted January 8, 2007 Well the file shouldn't be allowed to grow so big, it should have a limit or start over when a new session of ArmA is launched. Since a build 5095 the rpt file size should be limited to 2 MB: Quote[/b] ]- Fixed: Report file size limited to 2 MB to prevent filling a lot of disc space. File any larger than this should be cut down on each start. You can have a larger file if you had a plenty of errors reported during one session.
Sniperwolf572 758 Posted January 8, 2007 I don't know what you do with your ArmA, but my .rpt is 1.7MB in two months of actively playing it. In any case, if you don't plan on sending it to BIS or something, it can be deleted along with other dump files.
