VBS2 demo at I/ITSEC 2006

Sounds like BIS are going all out to demo VBS2 at I/ITSEC 2006 including linking up with other simulation products such as Steal Beasts a laser range and Track IR. I wish I could be there to see it.

As I understand it VBS2 won't be available for general public , so I doubt there will be much in way of "community addons". From gaming point of view, VBS is way overrated anyway - it doesn't really add any realism enhancements (apart from better and more accurate models and textures) compared to basic OFP/ArmA, its focus is in other areas.

I bet the the harrier has vertical take off in VBS.

And I doubt VBS is as buggy as I heard arma is. And saw videos

Harrier VTOL was script based in VBS, as far as I know there weren't any serious engine modifications to support alternative flight models.

I do know someone who will be attending and I've asked them to gather as much information as possible.

I know that VBS2 is not a public product but I still find it very interesting and believe that a lot of the work done will eventually filter down into game 2/next generation game.
