icebreakr 3159 Posted November 21, 2006 Same as in OFP, sometimes you manage to land the chopper on "the head" and exit while the rotors slowly stop... couldn't this bug be eliminated in all this testing phase?
Lord Archer 0 Posted November 21, 2006 It's really quite rare and hard to land a chopper upside down in OFP, unless you are actually TRYING to. Why waste manpower and time ironing out such a rare bug?
blackdog~ 0 Posted November 21, 2006 It's really quite rare and hard to land a chopper upside down in OFP, unless you are actually TRYING to. Why waste manpower and time ironing out such a rare bug? Wait, what? Every other landing I make seems to be upside down. Also, I'd love to see someone who could repeatedly pull off upside down landings in helicopters. I think it's worth the time and manpower since it seems that most fans of OFP want ArmA/Game2 to be the most realistic wargaming experience possible. I think it's safe to say that most helicopters can't flip over without being destroyed in real life.
dr_eyeball 16 Posted November 21, 2006 I'd be more concerned about detecting rotor blade collision.

Messiah 2 Posted November 21, 2006 I'd be more concerned about detecting rotor blade collision. thats just a case of a correctly made geometry LOD...
Espectro (DayZ) 0 Posted November 21, 2006 I'd be more concerned about detecting rotor blade collision. thats just a case of a correctly made geometry LOD... Yea, just make the rotors a flat circle with very little armor, so whenever you hit something with them u automatically get destroyed.
Messiah 2 Posted November 21, 2006 Plus... whats wrong with posting in this thread: Linky Not sure the fact that its possible to flip a chopper still requires a whole thread in which to bitch about it.
Placebo 29 Posted November 21, 2006 I would have said this thread is slightly more pertinent but I would agree that this doesn't require a thread on its own.
