Nightjay0044 1 Posted November 3, 2006 Hi, well i started playing the return chopper mission. Objectives are: 1) Refuel chopper 2) Pick up troops 3) Fly to safety zone. Well not exact text but that's what they are.. Anyway, the part where you have to repair the chopper at La pessagne. After the small cutscene happens the chopper makes this really wierd noise and then after the cutscene is over the chopper is out of control, the 2nd time I tried the chopper was flipped upside down in the air and I couldn't get it right side up again to have it fly... Is this a glitch in 1.96 or something...becuase it seems it happens quite frequently when we play the official campaigns.. Share this post Link to post Share on other sites
XCess 0 Posted November 3, 2006 I had the exact same problem of the helo being shot straight down to the ground, the only solution i can offer is holding the Q key before, during and after the cutscene. Thomas Ryan 0 Posted November 3, 2006 Solution = Don't play Redhammer. Seriously though, it is a glitch with v1.96. BIS overlooked the fact that some of it's missions may not work with v1.96 and thus you get all these weird noises and very weird glitches. I also got this problem, along with a few others while playing with Redhammer. In the cutscene where Dmitri and the medic stole the Mi17 and are taking off, but get shot down, when they're hit, the voices become all weird and fast, and the chopper doesn't even look like it's flying. Here's Dmitri and his copilot sounding like chipmunks, then the US FIM92 gunner comes out and says, in this tinny, chipmunky voice. "Gottastopthisguy!" clausewitz 1 Posted November 11, 2006 Sorry, but only solution ist to try again. I recommend to use the "savegame"- cheat before arriving the repair zone. Just reload the mission from this point. If you are successfull the helo will fly in height of about 900 m. You can lower it by pressing the "Y" key. I know its frustrating, but I didn't find another way. Nightjay0044 1 Posted November 12, 2006 Alright, thanks guys for the tips....I'll do what i can with them if I decide to play that campaign mission again... We all will have to deal with these glitches in all the campaigns as long as we have versions higher then 1.75.... That's alright, if we dont want the versions we can always uninstall OFP and reinstall it to make it version 1.75 again... but too much work on that...lol... take care all..
