Kendo J 1 Posted July 10, 2006 Kendo's Dynamic CWC Kendo's OP: Everon Liberation Beta 0.1 Addons needed are OFPR v1.96 Editor update 102 (or newer) LSR_Rangers and Delta ftp://ftp.gamepark.cz/ofpd/unofaddons2/LSR_Delta_Rangers_200.rar LSR_Weapons pack ftp://ftp.gamepark.cz:8021/ofpd....200.rar JAM 3 http://www.ofpec.com/editors/mods/JAM/JAM3_FIXED.zip snYpir's Support Pack http://operation-trident.net/downloads/spt_pack.zip WELCOME TO MY MISSION This is an attempt at retelling the Cold War crisis missions with the help of some of my favorite addons. One addon I have not used is the CoC UA or other amazing CoC addons. This is for accessability for the player, as occasionally CoC stuff can be too complicated therefore adding plenty of scripting and gameplay problems. In this senario I have hoped to make a whole campagin in one mission with some dynamic elements. There are a few nice features in this mission, such as... Airstrikes courtesy of SnYpir's support pack and the DAC (Silola). In this senario I used the Dynamic AI Creator (DAC), This powerful tool spawns and manages enemy troops. Mainly a tool for "true" Dynamic missions, I decided to use the DAC to simulate a large operation, with little lag. The DAC requires some loading time, and I have experienced a few errors with it, Anyhow, there will be a save before each sector load, If you have problems a retry usually does the trick. I also find that most errors with the DAC are insignificant and it continues to work anyway... Oh yeah and the DAC also adds Dynamic weather. Just remember that I hold no legal responsability if this mission breaks your computer or just annoys you. Kendo J 1 Posted July 10, 2006 I made this in a week! I got a new PC last monday.. So mission making is such a delight, before it was a chore! I was running minimum specs... P3, 733... it was a peice of crap! I now have a P4 2.5ghz... woooo Might not be much compared to latest PC's but woah what a difference! Anyhow, to make things even better I got it for FREE! *Score* Kendo Oh yeah and this mission is my first with an Intro scene as my old PC couldn't handle the camera changes and lagged like hell! Metal Heart 0 Posted July 10, 2006 ...LSR_Weapons pack ftp://ftp.gamepark.cz:8021/ofpd....200.rar JAM 3 http://www.ofpec.com/editors/mods/JAM/JAM3_FIXED.zip ... Links don't work. ...mission doesn't work either -Before even getting in the mission I get a message of missing CoC stuff and some lsr_m4_m203 (I have updated LSR stuff to 2.1). -The mission starts anyway. I take a hmmwv and drive towards 1st cp with my AI buddy. 100m from cp I see couple of russians in safe mode on the road, at the same time a sniper starts shooting the car. I drive over the two guys on the road and ignore the sniper. -As I reach the cp fps drops from 30-40 to a steady 10. -Few seconds later fps is a steady 7 -I run about 100m towards the target on the hill, during this time fps drops to a steady 2 -When I'm about 300m from the mg post on the hill fps starts to occassionally drop from 2 to 1 -After shooting the gunner in the bunker I press alt+F4 specs: sempron 64 3300+, 1024mg 400mhz ddr, gf6600gt
Kendo J 1 Posted July 12, 2006 Well the Coc_UA is a mistake in the mission.sqm... sorry But i don't know why your fps drops so much... there is a short load period when each sector spawns it's men... but for me that only lasts about 5 seconds. This is my first mission on my new PC... but i am pretty sure your PC is better than mine! and this mission runs fine on mine! The LSR_M4.... well maybe I am using the older version... will update this. Kendo
Metal Heart 0 Posted July 12, 2006 This is the exact error message: No entry 'config.bin/CfgVehicles.LSR_m16a4_m203_acog_Grenadier'. It's a missing unit definition, I guess it causes some DAC script to get stuck on an endless loop.
lj_takeasy 0 Posted July 12, 2006 It should be LSR_Weapons pack 3.0. LSR_m16a4_m203_acog_Grenadier is in it.
action man 0 Posted July 12, 2006 Sorry mate but my FPS also drop! It's like a snail trying to wade through treacle
Metal Heart 0 Posted July 12, 2006 It works for me now with Laser US weapons 3.0. Seems like a cool mission.
Kendo J 1 Posted July 14, 2006 Ok this is the problem, I have the older LSR stuff the name of the LSR_m16a4_m203_acog_Grenadier' is different in my version... therefore, The DAC goes into a loop and drops your FPS.... I will update this ASAP... please don't download this mission now wait a week! Kendo
