luemmel 20 Posted June 14, 2006 I am a little bit confused about the latest official info from the handout The text starts with "Twelve missions campaign..." and within the bulletpoints below BIS mentioned 20 missions single-player campaign. Is there a difference? The next one is that they (BIS) point out a 2-player coop modus. Does it mean that coops aren't playable for more than 2 players? The 3rd one is that we heard often about a 10km view distance. Now its reduced to 5km? Which informations can we trust? How can we rely in further information? FCOPZ-illuminator 0 Posted June 14, 2006 I think they talk about the campaign AND the "sidemissions", or "submissions"... But the "new" view distance and the coop is a good question.
NeMeSiS 11 Posted June 14, 2006 I am a little bit confused about the latest official info from the handout1 The text starts with "Twelve missions campaign..." and within the bulletpoints below BIS mentioned 20 missions single-player campaign. 2 The next one is that they (BIS) point out a 2-player coop modus. How can we rely in further information? 1. Like FCOPZ-Illuminator said, its probably 12 main missions, and 8 optional submission (total 20) 2. The campaign that comes with the game is avaible in 2 player coop, other missions can be played with more people 3. Suma said in another topic that this isnt the case.. Too know what info can be trusted the only thing you can do is keep track of these forums, dont believe in speculations unless you see it on an ingame screenshot for yourself, know what is new and old information as everything keeps changing all the time, and the only persons who are 100% reliable for info on these forums are the BIS developers(others, including me, are only mortals, and therefore cannot know everything correctly about ArmA ), and even they change their minds from time to time Yes, knowing the status of ArmA is a bitch, and confusing as hell.... Metal Heart 0 Posted June 15, 2006 Only trust the text on the back of the box if you need reliable info. And even that with a healthy dose of skepticism to be on the safe side.
luemmel 20 Posted June 16, 2006 what i want to underline is that this handout is made for ofp fans who know most of the given information within the last months. for the newcomers i think there are some points which are not clear enough and should partly be reworked (coop restrictions, missions/submissions enviroment). furthermore what i would like to suggest is a developers diary where the community will be informed about "what is under development, what is in testing and what are future plans). bravo 6 0 Posted June 21, 2006 Quote[/b] ]Q. How’s the AI? Is it better then the AI in OFP? A. Currently worst then OFP but has promised to be better by release. IMO: They say it’s 75% complete, I’d say 50%, and then I’d say the press release demo is only 10%. interesting..
CameronMcDonald 146 Posted June 21, 2006 Yeah. At least we can expect good AI in the final thing though. And if they promise it, it means they're at least making an effort.
