Messiah 2 Posted May 14, 2006 what did you honestly expect from the 4/5th rendition of this tired game? the novelty of what it was has long gone, and as per usual its a case of flogging a dead horse with as many sequals as they can possibly make. my flatmate owns all of the games for PS2, and i've played them all, thank god i didnt spend good money on them. The first was unique and fun, the rest were just the same, longwinded game in a different place.

They make those noises because it's a Japanese game. And we (MGS Fans) got used to the sounds, most metal gears made those sounds, it reminds me of dinosaurs. Rg 0 Posted May 14, 2006 @Jakerod; the only video I saw of Crysis was some in-game footage where the player destroyed this huge robotic spider-looking creature. Is that the only footage they showed on E3? It looked mighty disppointing to me. It could have been made over 5 years ago on the UT-engine for all I know. Nothing impressive at all. I think it looked downright boring. Jungle videos - http://media.pc.ign.com/media/694/694190/vids_1.html It’s just a graphically pretty game, that’s about it. The gaming industry really sucks these days
Tovarish 0 Posted May 15, 2006 Consoles are different to PC's. Which is partly why many people buy them. For a start, you dont have to upgrade them just to play a new game thats come out. Secondly, you have more guarantees with a console. The screenshots they show are what you get, rather than it being a case of settings your comp cant handle. ... Why spend that money on a console when I could get the PC version and a few upgrades for the same price? Bit contradictory there eh? Me, I can't play most of the types of games I'm interested in on a console. With the exception of sports games, i just need a mouse and keyboard, especially for FPS's - not to mention a joystick for flight sims. One thing I am interested in seeing though is the next generation of portable gaming platforms. I recently came across this supposed mockup of a "portable Xbox 360" http://mobilitytoday.com/news/006460/xbox_360_handheld
Myst9999 0 Posted May 15, 2006 Quote[/b] ]Bit contradictory there eh? Not really, considering I was talking about the 360. Most PC ports are shipping off to the Gates machine rather than the PS3. "Unique to PS3" games are the reason I'm buying one. Eight Days, Getaway, MGS4, that Russian shooter thing.... If I can get other games, thats just a bonus.
