JGreyNemo 0 Posted March 13, 2006 Hello. This has been a long winded project.  But I want to wrap this up.  (At the latest mid-year).  Basically this is a radio voice pack.  I already have three voices done. 1.  Generic Female (no word alterations) (ex girlfriend) (This is shipping out with the full-functional female pack I'm creating in parralel to this project) 2.  Generic Male (no word alterations) (me) 3.  Terrorist. (Chechen terrorist accent - ethnic Russian accent word alterations referencing terrorist cliches) (me) Each of these have taken a long time to record.  Partly because they're so fiddly with recording, splicing and WSSing then reconfigging the voices back into OFP.  But so far I have been very happy with the results. I want to finish the recording of the other voices I have planned, all of which will have some alterations to the word structure to reflect national and colloquial nuances. Here are the planned accents (These are all in ENGLISH):  Very generically of course - don't try to regionalise these accents, as they can be muddled - I'm only just one person!!  ): 1. English GI (South London?  n/s) 2. Scottish GI (Glasgow accent) 3. Australian GI (The voice I used when I worked for the police force) 5. *Whispered* American (For SF) 6. American GI - Southern 7. American GI - Latino (If I have time) 8. Civillian (This is mostly dumbed-down, non-mil-speak changes - I still need to ascertain a useable accent for the civvie, otherwise I'll just use my own accent (australian) 9. Civillian Female (If new girlfriend agrees... hmmm.)  10. (?)  South East asian  Hmmm. I'm compiling a list of things alternate things in place of the original voice commands that these people would say.  Below is the list at the moment.  Please use this topic to add WORTHWHILE additions to the list(Which I'll be taking for the next two weeks) Just list out an alternative radio call for a particular soldier to say (From the above list).  And I'll add it to the list at home.  So as I have a couple of varations before I start recording. The accent pack is middling between real-life accuracy and simply for the sake of variation.  So if you don't agree with something let me know, but don't whinge incessantly about it - because nobody likes that. Also if you have any personal radio packs that you've made and just don't have time to release, I can include it into this pack.  Just PM me. After recording I will have to make some identities to put into the config file so as AI uses these new voices - so this may take some time. - But watch this topic for any updates and betas which may come out within the next month. Anyway your help is much appreciated. Jeremy Below is the list (I haven't categorised who's going to say what yet, but you get the picture...) ===Misc=== "Over" "Copy" ===Tanks=== "HEAT" "Sabot" (sa-boh) "Weapon" "Machinegun" "Forward" "Reverse" "Left" "Right" "Gunner" "Driver" "Tank commander" “Fast†“Tear arseâ€; “Double Time†===Numbers=== "Zero" "One" "Two" "Three" "Four" "Five" "Six" "Seven" "Eight" "Nine" "Ten" "Eleven" "Twelve" ===Phonetic=== "Alpha" "Bravo" "Charlie" "Delta" "Echo" "Foxtrot" "Golf" "Hotel" "India" "Juliet" "Kilo" "Lima" "Mike" "November" "Oscar" "Papa" "Quebec" "Romeo" "Sierra" "Tango" "Uniform" "Victor" "Whiskey" "XRay" "Yankee" "Zulu" ===Teams=== "White" "Red" "Green" "Blue" "Yellow" ===Group=== "All" ===Clock Directions=== "1 oclock" “Right Front†"2 oclock" “Right Front†"3 oclock" “Right†"4 oclock" “Right Rear†"5 oclock" “Right Rear†"6 oclock" “Rear†"7 oclock" “Left Rear†"8 oclock" “Left Rear†"9 oclock" “Left†"10 oclock" “Left Front†"11 oclock" “Left Front†"12 oclock" “Front†===Distances=== "50" “50 metresâ€; “Range 50†"100" “100 metresâ€; “Range 100†"200" “200 metresâ€; “Range 200†"500" “Half a klickâ€; “Range 500†"1000" “1 klickâ€; â€1 kilometreâ€; “1kâ€; “Range 1000†"2000" “2 klicksâ€; “2 kilometresâ€; “2Kâ€; “Range 2000†"Far" “Range Far†===Directions=== "North" "Northeast" "East" "Southeast" "South" "Southwest" "West" "Northwest" ===Units/Objects=== "Abrams" "Ambulance" “Meat wagon†"APC" “Assâ€; “Tin can†"Blackhawk" “Catfishâ€; “Crash Hawkâ€; “Lawn dartâ€; “Velcro Hawkâ€; "BMP" “Russian Coffin†"Boat" “Small water craft†"Building" "Bush" “Scrub†"Car" "Cobra" “Snakeâ€; “Huey Cobra†"Crew" “Zipperheadâ€; “DAT†"Chopper" “Eggbeaterâ€; “Heloâ€; “Ericâ€; “Cabâ€; “Huey†"Forest" “Bushland†"Fuel Station" "Hind" “Mi-24â€; “Krokodilâ€; “letayushiy tank†"Jeep" "M113" “bucketâ€;  “death boxâ€; “Zeldaâ€; “Butter box†"M60" “Patton†"Man" “bloke†"Machinegunner" "Medic" “Medical personnel†"Mi17" “Hip†"ATSoldier" "Object" "Officer" “Pigâ€; “Butter bar†"Pilot" “Jet jockeyâ€; “biggles†"Plane" “Bird†"Rock" "Scud" “Scud Launcher†"Shilka" “Cloud puncherâ€; “Awl†"Ship" “Large water craft†"Soldier" “Pogueâ€; “Cannon Fodder†"Sniper" “Jubaâ€; “Marksmanâ€; “Sharpshooter†"T55" "T72" "T80" "Tank" "Thunderbolt" “Wart hogâ€; “Zoomieâ€; “The silent gun†"Truck" “Deuce†"Tractor" "Tree" "UAZ" "Unknown" "Vehicle" "Spetznatz" “Russian special forces†"Black Op" “Special forces†===Inter-squad=== "Damn" “Fuck itâ€; “Bollocksâ€; “Fuck fuck fuckâ€; “shizenhausen!â€; “Oh shite!†"Is Down" “Is CATFUedâ€; “Is KIA†"Oh no" “Jesus†"Injured" “M-edic!â€; “I’m bleeding, I need help!!â€; “I need a doctor!†"Status Red" “We’ve got major damageâ€; “I’m falling apart here!â€; “I’m almost FUBARâ€; “I’m  badly graunchedâ€; “I’m almost knackered†"Out of fuel" “We’re outta gasâ€; “Bingo fuel†"Out of ammo" “Winchester ammo†"Fuel low" “Joker fuel†"Ammo low" "Position" "This is" "Taking command" “Taking over†"I say again" “The command was†"Out" "Ready" “Where to boss?â€;  “No sweatâ€; â€Squared awayâ€; “Hot to trot†"Waiting" “Cocked, locked and ready to rockâ€; “Tickety booâ€; “I’m Gucci†"Negative" “No can doâ€; “No wayâ€; “Not going to happenâ€; “You’re having a giraffe!â€; “not fucking interested†"Ready to fire" “I’ve got a beadâ€; “They’re in my sightsâ€; “Ready to popâ€; “I’m dopeâ€; “Up!†"Can't fire" “I don’t have shotâ€; “I can’t get an angleâ€â€; “Say again, range, target†"Can't get there" “No Go Chief†"Medic!" “Docâ€; “Six typeâ€; “Bonesâ€; “Pecker Checker†"Need Ammo" "Need Repairs" “We need fixingâ€; “I’m graunched, we need Vermin!†"Need Fuel" “I need juiceâ€; “I need to refuel†"Supporting" “I’ve got you†“Support" “Assist†"Report status" “Are you there?â€; “Sit Repâ€; “Situation Reportâ€; “Squad, Report in†"Engaging" “Rounds away†"Attacking" “Rock and Rollâ€; “Lock and load†"I'm on him" “he’s mine†"Moving on" “Humpin it!†"On the way" “Rollingâ€; “Oscar Mike chief†"I've got him!" “Target Neutralisedâ€; “Nailed himâ€; “Scratch oneâ€; “Adios Mother Fuckerâ€; “Delta Hotel!!†"Is history" “Is down for the countâ€; “is malletedâ€; “is toast†"Contact" “Tallyâ€; “Enemy spotted†"Under fire" “I’m getting cut up hereâ€; “I’m getting shot atâ€; “Shots fired, shots fired!â€; “I’m in Deep serious here!â€; “I’ve got Incoming!â€; “I’m at a cake and arse party!!â€; “I’m getting zapped†"Clear" “We’re Solidâ€; “We’re clear!â€; “Area secured†"Where are you?" “I’m lostâ€; “Need vectorâ€; “What’s your position?â€; “Where did you go?†"Repeat" “say againâ€; “The command was†===Formations=== "Form" "Keep formation" "Return to formation" “Get back hereâ€; “Get in line. Messiah 2 Posted March 13, 2006 like the idea, but there are a couple of things you may want to note, the english 'GI' (squaddie would be a little more apt) would require a rewrite of many of those phrases.... we're embarking on a similiar project along with a few of the other UK teams - good luck! westy159 0 Posted March 13, 2006 Nice idea, i reckon machinegun and machine gunner should be replaced with MG as everyone just says take for quickness. BTW i come from a town just a mile north of London if you are looking for someone to do a british voice unless your looking for a pro.
Shashman 0 Posted March 13, 2006 I thought Zelda was a particular variant of the M113 used by the Israeli armed forces and not just another term for it? Perhaps a bit too specialised to have it as another way of saying M113

Veovis 0 Posted March 19, 2006 Offtopic - Listen, if you don't know what a pikey is, then you need to go and rent the movie Snatch right the hell now because it's one of the greatest ever made. Ontopic - This is a great idea. I especially loved "You're having a giraffe!" as I've never heard that before. (I'm an american.) And we Americans don't have any funny sayings because we're too busy tearing English a new asshole with text messaging =P

Ironsight 1 Posted March 19, 2006 Haha, Is Russian Coffin a real nickname for the BMP? I have heard it being called like that before. Let's say I wouldn't want to be in one facing RPG's or worse....mines.
