WKK Gimbal 0 Posted January 23, 2002 OFP flying is only arcadish in the simplicity of the controls, like the radar or that you can start the machines with one click. The *feeling* of flying is spot on, in my oppinion. Many hightech flight sims feels more fake than OFP, because the feeling isn't there. amos m 0 Posted January 23, 2002 Yeah. I reckon the game needs the simplistic controls. It needs to assume the player hasn't used the vehicle b4. Let's face it, how many of us have driven a uaz, humvee, m113, abrams, t80, t70, shilka, bmp, boats of various types and flown su25, a10, ah1, hind, blackhawk, and an apache or wetf the other one is. waterking 0 Posted January 23, 2002 This game is good as long as u stay on the ground! When it comes to rely on the AI to get things done it's total crap! The Killdozer where I'm at now, I've had to start 3 times cos the DAMN trucks or tanks get stuck in some buildings or crossroads and keep banging at houses or something and can't get anywhere GR was better, but WAAY to short! S_Z 0 Posted January 23, 2002 Hmm…and the team AI in GR is good at getting things done?…you need to hold their hands  I would say that team AI in OFP is much better in  taking care of it self than the team AI in GR. Hopefully many team AI problems in GR will get solved with the new patch… The one thing I hate most about the enemy AI in GR is if I see a bunch of bad guys and I take one out and then run around a corner (of a house or something) and just wait they will come one by one…its so easy.  If I was a bad guy and 10 of my friends was lying dead in front of me I would NOT step over their bodies go around that corner… Because there isn’t that many corners in OFP its not a problem but I think the AI would react the same way in OFP…but I’m not sure.
