Thunderbird 0 Posted January 22, 2006 Lovely stuff and great textures! seems to be a combo of Llauma and kegetys skies. keep it up! Best Regards Thunderbird84
AiRBLaDE 0 Posted January 22, 2006 This is the best sky yet, in my opinion.

llauma 0 Posted January 22, 2006 Nice sky. Too bad about the pac compression but it can't be done better. One more thing, this pack doesn't contain anything from my sky pack. The sphere model is done by Kegetys.
AiRBLaDE 0 Posted January 22, 2006 I found one thing to look out of place. When the sky is set to a very blue color, parts of it look like texture lines. That is the first thing that should be fixed.
wheres my rabbit ? 10 Posted January 22, 2006 Nice sky. Too bad about the pac compression but it can't be done better. it can be done cos i managed to get the textures from my pack converted without any compression flaws in the textures..i just haven't released it because in doing so i managed to get our old friend mr weather transition bug

scruffy 22 Posted January 22, 2006 Hi Voron Your sky looks nice but I think you should change the fog colour. Is it right that it depends on some part of the sky textures? Because now theres a huge difference, especially with the thunderclouds, and so you can clearly see the line where the sky starts. You can see it on your second screenshot, the grey hill in the fog on the right side of the screen stands out and I think looks pretty odd. With the normal sky it looks better but that could be a bit more bluish I think. And if you could reduce the compression lines on the normal sky it would be great, so you can't follow them around and actually see the sphere. But as it seems from the other answers that may not work Apart from that it looks great, I especially like the cloudy blue sky (the one you see with editor standard settings). Keep up the good work
llauma 0 Posted January 22, 2006 Hi VoronYour sky looks nice but I think you should change the fog colour. Is it right that it depends on some part of the sky textures? The color of the lower right corner decides the fog color.
Voron357 0 Posted January 22, 2006 Once again thanks everyone who has given a little time to this theme. @ Llauma Well, now I shall know it, I am simple not in a rate of similar works. @ MiragePL I thank. The fog in the bottom of border of the sky actually depends on color of last (bottom) part of a texture. Yes, updating demands updating, it will be, I promise. It is the first mine addon for OFP, earlier I was not engaged in it, I in fact mission-maker All I shall try to correct, above correction of all mistakes already there is a work
wheres my rabbit ? 10 Posted January 22, 2006 its probably worth pointing out that if the sky has problems with the weather transitions you will get the wrong fog colour for example if your sky going from cloudy to sunny willl show grey fog at the bottom of blue sky heres a good way to get rid of the lines where the textures tile in photoshop open your texture and go to filter select other then offset...offset horizontal by half the size of your texture size. the edges of your texture will now appear down the center of your image as a nasty line. now use clone stamp and/or blend tools (with a not so hard brush and a little oppacity) to blend the line till you cant see it. when your done just offset again to set your texture back to how it was and you should have a nice tiling texture that wont show up lines on your sky

Deagle 0 Posted January 23, 2006 lookin' nice. good work!
Zorbtek 0 Posted January 23, 2006 There are only 2 or so pics posted, so I'll post ones I took while using this... The sky does look very nice and realistic... the only problems I found was it can sometimes pop and bump around at times... And OFPs horizon troubles doesnt really help all that much. Also when zoomed in or looking through your scope, the texture makes itself apparent that it is a texture with a few grainy issues here and there. As the sun goes down it's also pretty nice. If only OFP could support more colors to bring out a more vibrant look. Now about the thunder clouds, yes for a realistic type of game reason, definately could use some work. But you know, this could actually go to some use with some of the scifi mods out there. To me, it almost looked like a face or some type of angel with wings. Definately it's a good thing this is a beta. But I think these thunder clouds could go to some use... If only OFP could support more than one type of sky < -------- Take notes BIS
VerySolidSnake 0 Posted January 23, 2006 Any performance hits from using this at all?
wheres my rabbit ? 10 Posted January 23, 2006 The sphere model is done by Kegetys. actually its not, its a different model
belgerot 33 Posted January 24, 2006 The regular sky version does look incredible, very nice and I just may use it though the thunder sky still needs some work.. Maybe just use the clouds/sky as in the regular white version just darken them and add shades of gray?
llauma 0 Posted January 24, 2006 The sphere model is done by Kegetys. actually its not, its a different model I assumed it was as he said that it was from the llaumax pack which uses the Kegetys model unless I've done something in my sleep. So who's sphere it is? It's not the original OFP sphere for sure.
MlLLER 0 Posted January 24, 2006 I think that it's very good sky, comerade

ryankaplan 1 Posted January 25, 2006 it's nice textures and so, on but the horizon looks damned weird in my opinion, especially when the weather is bad. The sky is very dark blue and the horizon (the bit where the sky joins the ground in the distance) looks too pale.
