Commando84 0 Posted January 14, 2006 hi ya guys, downloaded the reskinned version and noticed that the rhs misc file overwrited the old one and the new one was much more smaller in size. I wonder what was the difference between the two versions of rhs misc?
Shadow NX 1 Posted January 14, 2006 Hmm dunno, i just edited the config so the radioman in vsr has a radio now and then repacked with MakePbo, could see any difference ingame everything seems to work fine
AiRBLaDE 0 Posted January 14, 2006 makepbo will compress the addon into a smaller file than other compressers, I have noticed.

Thunderbird 0 Posted January 15, 2006 Indeed, very nice piece of work, several textures are smoother than the previous ones even if they were quite good as well. keep up the nice work! Quote[/b] ]T50 will become T72 T72 will become T80 T80 will become T90 *OT/ 'Best to keep the russian tanks versions as they are right now, calling 'T-90' a 'T-80' in the briefing notes might not make sense. Graphic 0 Posted January 15, 2006 Well IMO it wouldn't matter in something like Euro where everything's totally different anyway. "You will take a platoon of M1 Ab...ahem...Challenger 2's..." This is all moot though, sadly
AiRBLaDE 0 Posted February 13, 2006 hey, just a little suggestion if you plan to update some of the textures. look at the picture i posted below this, as you can see the green on the VSR looks brighter than the one in the reskinned addon. Perhaps it could be changed to look more like this?
sputnik monroe 102 Posted February 13, 2006 The brown needs to be contrasted more now to. The brown doesn't really show up well in the new VSR skin, it all looks kind of green and yellow.
soul_assassin 1750 Posted February 13, 2006 there are as many different VSR variations as there are factories producing the uniforms. Even the pattern changes sometimes with some mid/late-nineties the stripes were further appart. And the colours you see in this pack reflect the VSR you see more or less nowadays. There are still many other ones in use though.
FW200 0 Posted February 13, 2006 Yup, there are loads of VSR Variations around.. I had 2 pair of VSR pattern bdu's, and they were both different. As you can see, the set on the left is my own set, which was used for the RHS pack's colours It also depends very much on the colour under which you look at it, some colours of the uniform change more in different light than the other ones which causes quite significant differences.. mr reality 0 Posted February 13, 2006 there are as many different VSR variations Yup, there are loads of VSR Variations around Exactly. Just look at the soldiers trousers in AiRBLaDEs picture, there darker than his jacket. The textures on these Motorized Infantry are fine IMHO.
Shadow NX 1 Posted February 13, 2006 hehe, true... However i already changed the vsr pretty much, may post apic later
sputnik monroe 102 Posted February 15, 2006 I have a question about the RGD5 grenades in the weapons pack. I've disarmed the players squad with the following typed into the players init field, "removeallweapons _X" foreach units group this I've included RHS_RGD5_grenade's in the premission weapons selection. Here's the problem I'm having, you can pick them in the premission phase but once the mission starts your unable to throw them. I've tried dropping them and picking them back up but even doesn't bring back the ablity to throw them. I've tried putting "_X addweapon {RHS_RG5_grenade}" foreach units group this after the remove all weapons part in the players init and that doesnt work either. How can I get the player and his squad able to throw them again? The BIS default handgrenade's work just fine, it's only the RHS_RGD5_grenade's that aren't working. raedor 8 Posted February 15, 2006 Quote[/b] ]... as far as I can remember. Just tried that out but it didn't work either. You still can't use our RGD5s after that (you still have to add the RGD5s)?
sputnik monroe 102 Posted February 15, 2006 Basically the players init looks like this "removeallweapons _X" foreach units group this;"_X addweapon {RHS_Throw} foreach units group this" They still can't throw the RGD5 grenades that are picked in the premission weapon selection. I've even tried dropping them at the start of the mission and picking them back up to see if that would fix it. Problem is that once dropped I can't pick them back up. If you'd like I can copy and paste the squad onto desert island and copy over my missions init so you can test it out.

sputnik monroe 102 Posted February 15, 2006 Quote[/b] ]Watch the ""s Oops, that was a typo. I actually do have it as... "removeallweapons _X" foreach units group this;"_X addweapon {RHS_Throw}" foreach units group this
