Travel to Mars in 3 hours!

Also, if a large enough magnetic field was created, the craft would slip into a different dimension, where the speed of light is faster, allowing incredible speeds to be reached. Switching off the magnetic field would result in the engine reappearing in our current dimension.

If this part is true, it would allow large speeds, but as you said, it is just a theory, just like many of the ones that would allow Star-Trek warp speeds!

Wouldnt this cause a problem when the humans inside the craft is exposed to around 150 G´s?

Tell me if im dumbt - but talking about 26 dimensions just gets a bit abstract to me...

LOL, to have a grand unified theroy to describe something, you must first UNDERSTAND something. That means understanding the fudge factors that are necessary for the formulas to work out, like the cosmological constant. Without knowing what the values are representing, and their interaction, how can the relationships be anymore than rough changes from quantum theory perspective to GR?

Hell, we just (past 10yrs) found a new phenomonon, dark energy, that has turned our understanding of the universe on it's head. Einstein proofed it, but threw it out as a fluke, even though it worked out. We have much more to discover before we 'know' anything. Bits and pieces of knowledge here and there that work into our ideas of completeness do not mean that's all there is to something. IMHO The scientific community could use a bit more humility.. Or the universe will simply keep dishing it out to the proud as it has been. tounge2.gif

Guys, the creators of Half Life 2 have all of this already figured out. You should really try HL2 out.
