guyguy1 0 Posted January 5, 2006 Is it at all possible to make clouds that move and cast shadows on the terrain? I think this would be awesome because of the view from the sky and because it adds to the environment around the player. What do you guys think?

Spoock 3 Posted January 5, 2006 I would like volumetric clouds as Cryengine2 and fly simulators
Pyronick 21 Posted January 5, 2006 I would like volumetric clouds as Cryengine2 and fly simulators lol yeah volumetric clouds like in CryEngine 2, Reality Engine, Unreal Engine 3.0, GameBryo, and all flight sims... Although IMO these volumetric clouds should be calculated in the SM3.0 part of your graphics card, because I don't think ArAs uses all of it... That would just rock. Btw. why not call Game 2 -> Armed Assault 2? I mean Armed Assault is basically Operation Flashpoint 1.5...
Metal Heart 0 Posted January 10, 2006 Isn't this already in ofp:e at least to some extent?
codarl 1 Posted January 10, 2006 Isn't this already in ofp:e at least to some extent? The clouds move before the sun during dusk / dawn, yes, but I dont believe they're volumetric...
Metal Heart 0 Posted January 10, 2006 Well, uh, the original question was about shadows, I didn't mean that they're 3D in OFPE.

zayfod 1 Posted May 7, 2006 Cloud shadows on the landscape would be very cool. It would add real depth to the view.
Acecombat 0 Posted May 7, 2006 And add more to the depth of the system requirements . Volumetric clouds will be very resource intensive. I'd like them too but if theres a way to switch them off it should be present too.
