What is this game officially

Recommended Posts

ah fatigue bar kills gameplay even more and it is a unnecessary limitation to gameplay, I like to sprint all the way across the map (but it should distrupt aiming further...)

A real soldier wouldn't be able to run across the entire map either without slowing down. Disrupted aiming isn't enough. You need to get slower too, so that you need to really take a break from time to time to not get caught running across a field at a snails pace. Will give you time to take a look at the map/GPS/compass too, to not get lost or run into an enemy unit you knew would be there.

have you ever played UT:Infiltration? they have a nice example of it, more like examples of consequences of fatigue, Goodbye to gameplay... as well as team formation.

and also running accross the map is just for transportation cases not for combat purposes (running like hell makes you go to hell faster than anything)

If this thread continues to be about jumping it will be closed as there is an existing jumping thread.

Well, maybe running across the map is a bit much, but jogging across the map in full combat gear should work. SAS training includes a non-stop 25 Km running and 25 Km walking in full gear.

Is Armed assault a continuance of OFP:Resistance or is it what was once called "operation flashpoint 2"?If it is OFP2, is there a major difference in gameplay, or the same lacking OFP1? By lacking I mean: no leaning around edges,no jumping or even a hop over objects, and will the issue of the Scope misalignment with the character model not being seeing around a corner be fixed (clipping). These are my concerns for my support of this new game. wink_o.gif

For "Armed Assault" we don't really know for sure till the game's out. You can imagine it will be improved but to what extent ... we'll see. Look at "Operation Flashpoint: Elite" for the (old) Xbox. There you have a glimpse at what's to expect plus more. Here is the Armed Assault Progress Update: http://www.bistudio.com/presspages/ArmA_Progress_Update.html

"Operation Flashpoint 2" or "Game 2" will be another story as you see there is a whole other section on this forums:

Yeh, it's pretty hard to notice but look at 3rd person mode from a side, you move at the same speed when you go back to normal jogging speed.
