ebns72 0 Posted April 6, 2006 The woodland is close to perfect. A huge improvement over the original HYK ones. I can't wait till i see the camo on some '85 guys. That will be kickass. Also, you may have noticed BRG just released some new vegetation. this would be great replacement on malden. I think malden also needs some textures to make it more distinct from everon. stgn 39 Posted April 6, 2006 OMFG there's just no pleasing some people   The new woodland soldiers look top notch TB  First of all It was trying too be funny. Second off all as I created this pattern I am quit surprised of these Improvements and would realy like too know what TB has done cause as it looks one these pictures its now darker than its supose too be although the older one looke abit lighter than normal in TBs final pirtures. The new soldiers ought too look like this: but with updated shadows and blod. I am also woried about how the softning of the patterns edges has afected the RIP stock pattern. STGN STGN: I wear BDUs almost every other day and I will say that they do look like the way TB made them when they are new. They have a nice, dark crisp look to them. Thanks for answering Sadly i don't need that challenge, being a random player. I'd like to use FFUR with my IL2team guys but all are random players, and we usually find the missions too difficult. Is there a simple way i can mod AI shooting distance or would it be a very long and complicated work ? If you can't answer fully, is there a forum i should search on this subject ? Its doesnt help that the hi res texture trees in the woods make it impossible to see whos shooting you and the m16 iron sights seem to be off since it seems i can no longer hit anyone unless there really close. Dunno if you played that mission with stock BIS units, but that's one of the hardest missions of any game I've ever played... I am also currently in a civilian auxilary of the military (I am only a teenager....) and I see lots of BDUs twice a week or so. The BDUs TB created look much more realistic an accurate than the previous FFUR ones. BDUs have in reality a much darker tone than ACU and other patterns. The ones in the previous FFUR are a little too light. The ones TB has are fine. BDUs also get lighter and the colors more faded with use, not darker. My only real suggestion right now for the BDUs is that it light/grey color in the BDU is actually a tiny little pinch more brown/yellowish in reality. Also, the brown is more...brown...see reference pics below. Here is a random pic...this is IMO the "perfect" BDU color reference. There is no outdoor light shining on it to mess the colors up. If you want a good reference, this is it. EDIT: did some crappy photoshop improvements to colors. Changed the brown and the lighter color to be more accurate. TB please take a look at this. comparison... If you want, I could even give it a go myself (the actual texturing part, not some photoshop job) to make them as accurate as possible. Was there any reason in particular why you removed them? I thought they were pretty cool, and made the Russians stand out from the US. PS. They might be fatwombat's textures be either way they are fairly high-res and fit the mediterranean vegetation much more approriately IMO. Every new release gets FFUR closer to what I think of "my own perfect OFP" Â in certain aspects, but brings new bugs and setbacks too. I'm not complaining, it's just the way the things are.. Sooo, there's a question I'd like to ask. 1) Noticed that armored vehicles destroyed in combat look exactly the same as new intact ones. Befofe After Another one (Before) Another one (After) and another (before) and another (after) the last one (before) the last one (after) Am I the only one experiencing such problems or, maybe, its intentionally made this way?
