My small weapon pack

I made few addons for OFP, idea was to make addons that noone else made. Plenty of AK-74M and AK-47 but not many of these smile_o.gif

I don't think meany of the weapons have been done before not with this quality enyway.

While the ejection upwards direction seems right Ak's sprays casings forward 2o'clock I belive and the casings are ejected too low so it looks like it comes out under the ejection port.

Some textures are too black. Especialy the saiga and AN-94.

The scope on the Ak-102 could be more round.

The Sv-98 looks a bit small?, the sound is too low and the scope is a bit rough.

The pistol has a different position when it is emty.

The Saiga sparys rifle cartriges you should ask Kyle Sarnik if you can use his shotgun script and change the cartrige to a shotgun shell model.

Other comments:

These arn't excatly in the same detail as the RHS Ak's but are prity good, you should keep working on them.

Great pack, I love taking out those evil americans with my Saiga,

the sounds could need some improvement, louder and more 'bang'! SV-98 sounds like someone shot the rifle 2km away even if it's without the silencer.

Thx for the feedback. I know sounds are crap, they sounded good in the winamp but after editing it with other sounds it didnt come out good

Been waitin for a Saiga12K to be made, I hope Hoyt will let me use his  biggrin_o.gif  I am addicted to this weapon, it kind of feels like a hand-held flak cannon  pistols.gif each shell exploding into around 20 shots that blanket your target.

Ok, it could use a different sound instead of the one I used on the other 12 gauge shotguns (not sure what a real one sounds like though), but I'm sure the Spetznatz (or whoever uses it) would be proud:

Also, Hoyt, I believe I might be able to get a working animation on the AN-94, with that recoil thing on the barrel (what ever the techinical term is for it).

I have to say that I was a little dissapointed. It took me 3-4 shots to kill HYK's infantry with SV-98! For 7.62x54 caliber is not very strong. Either the HYK is cheating on his armor values or this SV-98 needs more punch to it. Also, the reticule in PKS-7 scope is too big and not very crisp. The circle should be black and the dot in the middle is red (in real life the dot is black, but when you point it at the dark surface it turns red, in OFP it is impossible to duplicate).

HYK infantry take around 2-3 hits with JAM 7.62x54R to the torso or other parts, but a single shot to the head will kill them. Use BIS infantry for a better comparison.

if i remember correctly that SV-98 bullet ammo is one of the few none jam mags.

no, he is correct. I didn´t put in JAM because there was no or I didnt look hard enough for 7.62mm on the east, same with 556 on the east. 762 that you mention is for SVD, semi auto but sv98 is a bult action rifle.

Ive taken the West 556 but it makes noise of a m16 smile_o.gif for the next version alot of crap has been fixed and it looks sweet, some screenies here just because this thread is so active.

Can you make PO 3.5x21? Probably the best Russian scope for AK-74, but nobody makes it.

Solution: You can use the semi-auto JAM_E762_10mag, then simply set your SV-98 to play a bolt-cycling sound after every shot. This will play no matter what magazine it uses. The line to insert in your config is:

...where Boltsound.wss is just the sound of the bolt quickly being cycled. Inquisitor's M24 is set up just like this - he'll probably let you use the bolt sound if you ask.

This way, you'll get the SV-98's proper 10rd ammocount, 1.45 MoA accuracy, and proper bolt-action sounds.

The only problem is that human players could fire unrealistically fast (0.4 sec between shots instead of 2 sec for the proper bolt-action mags). For AI this only an issue at close range, as the AIRateofFire setting is very low for all sniper mags.

I've just tried all this and it works fine - give me a shout if you have any probs.

Ps. If you really want true bolt action, you could use the JAM_E762_5mag. This is for Mosin Sniper rifles, but in JAM3 the accuracy has been increased from 2.6 to 1.5 MoA, based on accounts of average accuracy. So, you'd get similar accuracy to the solution described above. The only problem is you wouldn't get the realistic 10 round count  confused_o.gif

The difference you are looking for is the barrel. It recoils back when fired just like the real thing.
