Shemaghs? For what, these fellows don't seem to be Moslem at all..

You dont have to be arab etc etc to wear shemaghs.

It might look mid east but other countries use them as well. I posted a pic earlier and that guy had a US flag patch.

If he doesnt want to make a shemagh version, thats totally up to him but it doesnt look arab to me...just desert style. Also, there are already models out there made..they'd just have to be copy/pasted (with permission of course)

If anything, a single recon version with a shemagh and sunglasses would look very cool IMO.

Yes I agree, a Shemagh would look awesome, especially with some dark goggles or some VBS1-looking glasses

I know what you mean, I didn't mean only Moslems wear Shemaghs, I would just think that one would give off a very Middle Eastern look to these units. I personally don't care if there is one in the pack or not.

funny thing is that Polish soldiers during tour in Afghanistan, Iraq, Golan Hills, wear them also

they buy it themselfs, its not standart equipment in army.

but it doesnt change the fact it looks mid east ;-)

every OFP formation has its Black Op or sniper looking different than grunts, maybe it would be good to make one model looking different.

OPFOR Jeep is basicly ready, just needs some config tweaking and such

soldiers models should be ready in about two days.

Nice work Offtime. How about dusting up the wheels a little too. Driving over sand will soon cover the area around the wheel (not to mention the rest of the jeep) in sand etc.

or better, a OPFOR that looks like a private guerilla army that has quite a lot of armour, and thus having quite modern and advanced western equipment, however no tanks (or maybe modified soviet equipment as old T´s kan be bougt really cheap (a old t72 can be bought as cheap as about 7000 Euro in running condition), and a well funded private army can easily buy and modify such vehicles (ofcourse same goes for jeeps, APC´s, trucks and other equipment)

but it should be focused on modern and advanced small arms in the first place

i appreciate all comments and sugestions

all tho i know myself and i know that if i will start adding stuff you suggested then making this pack will least longer and longer, and i will finaly never release it

i prefer making some basics and later on if ammount of free time will let me, making updates.

(you can check how it works by downloading my WPS mini mod, link in my signature )

after being wounded and healed by a medic, bandages will apear randomly on arms and legs of wounded soldier.

I made a suggestion like that on the last page where he should make it so they have the guerilla equipment with the regular units, then a version with more modern weapons (like the modern AKs and RPKs from the Marine Assault Pack) and modern equipment to make it look like private contracters or a modern army. Personally, if he makes a woodland version, the modern version should have kevlar or cloth covered helmets. The desert looks perfect without.

I messed a bit with you Jon Doe kit and I did my Desert FIA

Notice different Camo at legs and at shirts because it is a FIA unit

Why random when you can check where a unit is hit?

yes, as far as i know i can check where unitn was hit via eventhandler

but notice the fact that unit can be hit several times before healed by a medic

those can be grenades exploding near unit, unit can fall from building roof or can be hit by a car

you would have to record all body parts that were "dammaged" and apply bandages on them after healing.

that would need some heavy scripting

and i think its not worth of efford and CPU time ;-)

but thats what i know.

is there other way of doing this ?
