there is no longer any doubt in my mind that you guys have created the best ah64 pack around, this is truly amazing work.

Yes same here,I commend this pack,the best and only distinguishing apache pack to have entered OFP,I can't wait to see what they come out with next,judging I'm guessing that franze guys avatar would be a hint.

Version 1.3 is great I can't wait for other addons released by you guys I cant wait to see your other addons released because of the standard and quality of your work

PS I was wondering will you guys be configing laser's ah64 pilots into your choppers when they are released

No, due to some issues, it would be in our best interest not to use Laser's AH-64 pilots. Mission designers can use his pilots with the aircraft of course but we need to stay with our pilots.

Franze and Nodunit have their own pilots. You can use Laser's pilots if you want when you make a mission in the editor but the package as is will use Franze's and Nodunit's.

Yes hopefully I will be able to come up with a "high defintion" pilot pack with more realistic clothing effects and such,I'm still workin on it though as doing the effect is easy,getting it in the right place is not.

Longbow 2 was one of the very first ever PC games I played. A shame it will not work on XP. But we wave Franze's smile_o.gif

What are you specs (tryin to see if theres a pattern here),what map do you use it with,what units?

I'm starting to wonder if the lag issues are due to textures which would be entirely my fault,they are rather large afterall,I could try to reduse the size in some of them (others I'll get a blueish color that I can't get rid of),this all depends if Franze wants to re-binarize a low version and you guys would put up with fuzzier textures.

Drop me a PM and I'll see if I can figure out your issue. I'm sorry but I need to know these things specifically where you get lag:

-Your system specs (video card, CPU frequency, amount of RAM, free space on hard drive)

-How many units you have placed in your mission (and the types)

-What modifications/unit replacement packages you're using

-Multiplayer or single player

-ECP, DXDLL, any visual enhancements or script enhancements you're using

That's what I need to know to help you with your issue. Beyond that there's nothing I can do.

In addition to that, try turning off all scripts by placing this in the init field of any unit in the editor:

fz_ah64scripts = 0

This will help isolate the issue.

"Shit! We're hit!" Happens after about 3 failures, "Get us out of here!" happens after 4-5 failures. Just fly in front of a ZSU-23-4 for a while and you'll notice them. smile_o.gif

Yeah its always done that,I have no idea why though,I remember once the AI was flying pilot and we had to go over a very high hill,the first time it let on too much power and crashed us,the second it pulled up just it in time,I'm guessing the landing gear barely missed getting knicked against the mountain.

The AI like to rock this in flight. I get sick in first person as a gunner.

AI tends to fly every helicopter as if it were a Hind, only solution is to not let them fly. They do ok though if you make the AI fly at limited speed, but they can still do some pretty crazy things.

Through careful mincro-managing you can make them fly okay but I do not recommend having the AI fly.

So you are saying this is only useable in MP?

If you want to have the AI fly, theres not a whole lot I can do about how the AI flies. Why it does the bobbing motion... I don't have a clue.

I dont think its possible to do anything with how the AI fly. They all went to the same flightschool.

I dont want to be a bitch or anything but the cockpit of the other pack looks much better the instruments and especially the 2 green displays. I must say now when you see the changes this model looks much more like real apache! it looks meaner! Like a big fat flying insect waiting to eat you.

In both SP and MP it is best to pilot and have the AI gun.

What other pack? Franz and Nodunit only made the 64 and WAH-64. The two green displays are in the D and D-NR due to upgraded avianics over the A.
