The only way to avoid CTDs is to have a "clean ofp" with the original stuff patched 1.96 ... Several people tested the pack and haven't noticed any CTD though The release is soon , I can't tell you when because Reven (our proud Manager) still has to improve the installer that komuna (ECP team) has made for us. Thank you all for your support and patience. Best Regards Thunderbird84 I have a clean OFP 1.96 for my FFUR I only get random CTD with one config, the default power PC, mostly at Battlefields. I tryed the, *classical without soldiers talking and surrendering, *Body Explosion without soldiers talking and surrendering no CTD here. *Powerful Single with Body Explosion ONE CTD at battlefields. If you did that and install FFUR and still get some error about some missing addons. Than i think it's most be something problem with that pack you have downloded. But, soon will TB84 release the new FFUR + fix/bug. Then wait for the new version... it won't be very long now hopefully, and you'll be VERY pleased! I'm sworn to secrecy and can say no more at this stage... ... but it'll be worth the wait! Best Regards Thunderbird84 see this should tell u something about ur new way of makeing the updates starting with an clean ofp is not the way to go in and all of your other updates were just fine and people was not haveing this problem as there are now so that should tell u someting too why now, do u just make it to where u have to start an clean one why? thats just makeing problems. TB i love ur work just trying to help with an easy way of playing ur mod and funner. also just so many thing to do and that made me not dl it just tell the people why u changed it now to were u have to have an clean one instead of going the way u did in the othere updates plz Share this post Link to post Share on other sites
456820 0 Posted June 26, 2005 even in the old versions it was alot better to have a clean ofp folder if you have any addons in the addons folders wich are also in the ffur folder that also made problems like error messages so not much has changed apart from instead of those messages they seem to be Ctd's instead lol EDIT - But yeah i get what you mean you were still aloud addons in the folder just not the same kind in the ffur one aswell shame though and for some reason im starting to get Ctd's again when i did a fresh install Share this post Link to post Share on other sites

I think this might actually be a first in OFP Total Conversion Mods - covering Desert and Arctic/Winter units as well as the usual Woodland... I'm really looking forward to the Winter Pack... I was working on a winter mission recently and was really scraping around trying to find a good selection of GOOD Winter addons... Can you give us a few general hints Thunderbird? like... Will you replace the main islands with their desert/winter equivalents as well as the units - so we can play any standard (eg:) Nogova mission and with Desert FFUR it'll all be desert units on Desert Nogova, for example??? That would definitely be a new step forward for OFP. Will we be able to choose to install all 3 conversions, with 3 different shortcuts, so we have complete and independantly playable Winter, Woodland and Desert FFUR's? Or will we have to make a choice of one or the other at the install stage and reinstall if we want to try a different pack? Just a couple of dead obvious questions you're gonna get asked in the next hour, I bet! Answer them now and avoid the rush! ... innovative ideas, and not afraid to try 'em!.... gotta admire that.... Thunderbird 0 Posted June 30, 2005 Hi , There would be 3 packs in one installer , while the installation you'll be able to choose the pack you wanna have, you can install one , or two , or all of them. so once installed you'll have the shortcut of each pack installed in your desktop The winter pack uses High quality islands of CJE and Kegetys which won't overwrite any BIS stuff. A lot of things have been carried out in the goal to make the missions more immersive using the winter conversion like : -Snow action ( it would snow while missions and campaigns ) -Snow sounds while walking and crouching -Wind sounds -Authentic winter sky etc Plus all addons have been replaced by the best ones suited to the era 1985 and to the theme "winter" that the community offered while these 4 years though. The desert pack's currently in progress , it'd follow the same way though by using the best Desert addons suited to the era 1985.
