p.s:i do get a missing section on the interior ladder of the tanker when going down the stairs, when walking up its there help.gif

edit: if your fixing stuff, maybe you could improve the smooth\sharp edges in the tankers?

they look funny at dawn (just check the demo al-madajah mission intro)

could everyone who has the time check if he also has this problems with the tankers?

I do, on both versions there are missing parts to the stairs and on the non smuggler version there are a few walls missing in both of the lower level hallways.

Other than that its awsome, I am just a little dissappointed that you didn't include more demo missions, perhaps ones demonstrating proper use of the harbor objects?

I do love the pipelines and I hope you add more pipe sections and improve on those a bit because even though they are a little bit buggy sometimes they are still really cool and the pipebuilder script does work very well. Nice work.

Mapfact's Oil Addon v1.0 to v1.01 Patch

This patch brings the OilAddon1 v1.00 up to date, to v1.01.

Change Log:

*fixed all four ship models

*fixed craneControl.sqs

*fixed icon for static ships

*fixed sound after watering speedboats is only played once now

*added variable "MAP_OA_noReanimShip"

*improved textures of speedboat

All changes done by Flashpoint_K.

The patcher is written by raedor.

If you still have problems with the ship, PM/mail me, we know that they can occur, when your OFP prefenrences are "strange" (LOD preferences).

As soon as this patch is reported as working and there do not pop up further problems, we'll also update the main rar archive.

P.S. Thank you again for adding that variable  smile_o.gif  you guys are great.

Edit: Hmm, sorry, it seems that when I ran the installer it did not update the ReanimShip.sqs, and as far as I can tell all of the other files were updated. I tried reinstalling the original addons and then updating them again but it still left the ReanimShip.sqs the same. I am wondering if I am the only one having this problem or is it the installer that is the problem?

I found a bug right after extracting the rar file;

liesmich.txt is features english text and readme.txt

features german text.

lol

Something I noticed about your patch .bat file. It does not add the new MAP_init.sqf and ReanimShip.sqs to the new PBO.

ok, here we go again...

UPDATE: OA1 v1.01 released

We fixed some small problems, version 1.01 of the OilAddon1 is available.

Changes from v1.00 to v1.01:

*fixed all four ship models

it would be cool if someone could make a cool Template mission for a big Oil Refinery on desert island.. i would but i dont no what they look like lol..

and theres a bug in the name of the Dock with Trainyard it says Trainjard

1. why do you get "still" missing map_init.sqf error? did you have it in v1.00?

2. page not found? this one? that's not good, you have to wait for other hosts.

i just redownloaded the full thing because i could not get the patch to work lol. i got an error saying it could not find the files and i done everything that the readme said do lol... tounge2.gif

343rdBadger, do you also have downloaded and installed the MAP_misc addon, which is needed by the oa?

In the end you should have 4 pbos.

The Map_misc and three starting with Map_OilAddon_

some strange issues i found while trying to make a mission:

fire from the burning oil wells only kills player, AI is unafected, so are vehicles.

on a side note: is there a simple way to estinguish or light the fire from the wells in the middle of a mission? sort of action menu thingy...?

well, yes, the ai will take no dammage. We thought that would be better, because the ai does not know that it should not run in the fire, and that would be bad for their health smile_o.gif  wink_o.gif

Yes, you can use the funktion: Name call MAP_OA_wellOn

and if you want that a player can light it use a trigger:

condition: inFlamed Name

onActivation: Name call MAP_OA_wellOn (readme)

(there is a standard ofp action to light the fire for the player, but only the function will make it burn, not the action itself)

he has about 4 seconds than to get out of there, hehe.
