csj 0 Posted June 20, 2005 Made this for a bit of fun and R&R. Also for some local atmosphere in Nam missions. Based mainly on Bis_bike. Carries two ppl's in front. Covered or uncovered models DL here CSJ Trishaw form OfpBase Enjoy  Also pictured Sebnam villager1 and Vung Tau PTP [HC]Para.
wheres my rabbit ? 10 Posted June 20, 2005 looks like a lot of fun could be had with this *looks for the nearest mountain to ride off* but i think a better qualiy screenshot(higher res) might sell it better as it kinda looks like zig zags held together by wheels
Sepe 1 Posted June 20, 2005 Hmm makes a nice addition to philcommando's Vietnam Town addon.

miles teg 1 Posted June 20, 2005 Wow! Very nice! That brings back memories! I used to ride in these all the time in Indonesia. Over there they're called "Baychaks" and were a pretty cheap form of transportation for short distances. I felt bad for the poor drivers though....those guys really worked hard for their money especially when they had to go up hills. But they were alot of fun to ride in and especially exciting in heavy traffic! lol! At any rate, yeah I agree that these little guys will add some excellent atmosphere in any maps that have larger Vietnamese cities...but then again now that I think of it, none of the maps do. Kind of a shame since these bikes are used primarily in large cities...don't think they use them a whole lot in the Vietnamese countryside, but maybe I'm wrong. wheres my rabbit ? 10 Posted June 20, 2005 theres 1 flaw in background eye candy usage of these (same as bis bikes) the ai will only drive them around at -1 miles an hour
csj 0 Posted June 20, 2005 @wheres my rabbit ? Nice pics ! Have not tried them other then with in group. Was there a fix for the bike problem?
wheres my rabbit ? 10 Posted June 20, 2005 dunno about a mission editing fix...probs not (i made a mission once with angelina riding around on a bike and most of the time she just sat on the thing and hardly went anywhere ) maybe some cfg tweaking tho to make go a bit faster or summit but i know shat all about cfg's so i'm not the person to ask
csj 0 Posted June 20, 2005 These guys generaly just sat around anyway, until they pulled a fare. I will have a look see l'ron, might be able to do something. ----------------- I just tried it and it worked fine with AI. Did laps around at usual speed. Started with empty Trishaw then AI moveindriver etc.
wheres my rabbit ? 10 Posted June 20, 2005 strange that wot i did an they were going quite slow ...dumb game wants to make it mind up wether its gonna work or not lol
JGreyNemo 0 Posted June 21, 2005 Also note in pilot view the front and back wheels don't seem to move. But it's only apparent as a passenger or driver. Not too important, but nice if you can fix. Good work, very nice addon.
FerretFangs 0 Posted June 21, 2005 WOW! That looks BEAUTIFUL! Certainly deserving of praise as one of the most creative and artistic addons I've seen in quite some time! BRAVO ZULU
philcommando 0 Posted June 21, 2005 Good job, CSJ You certainly have put your skills to good use. Thank heavens not another M4 or C130. Creative and original! Adds another level realism to the game! Well done.
csj 0 Posted June 21, 2005 @JGreyNemo true they don't although in pilot view you are doing well to see any wheels at all. The mud guards cover most of the tyre. Cargo view is more obvious but both lods are direct C&P of main res lod including all selections so I have no solution to this problem. @philcommando if you like this I think you will really like the next one. Saigon taxi #2 Quote[/b] ]Thank heavens not another M4 or C130 (CSJ pushes delete on C130 p3d) Â

Anyway it's a small tiny problem. I really like this addon actually. Nice to have unique vehicles like this, really adds a nice atmosphere, especially on certain city maps. miles teg 1 Posted June 21, 2005 Now that I think about it, I'm not sure if they use these much in Africa, but it would look nice seeing these scurrying around some of the cities in Tonal in the tropical zone. Gives a certain 3rd world flava. Does anyone have any recommendations of any other good tropical (preferably Vietnam) maps that has any decent size towns in it? I wish someone would make a Vietnam map with the city of Hue, scene of the most intense urban combat in the Vietnam War. A nice simulation of Hue would be perfect for this addon. You could be a soldier getting a ride on one of these during the beginning of the Tet offensive finding yourself suddenly in the middle of a mortar attack and your driver jumps off and flees...leaving you to have to either run, or jump back on as the driver and pedal your way back to base. lol!
