Chris Death 0 Posted June 18, 2005 OK, enough with reading about your puzzles 4rgj. What exactly did you try to get your addons into game? Try to explain step by step what you're doing to make your units appear. Did you manage to get any units on screen yet? I mean what happens if you want let appear standard BIS units in editor? Do you know how to work in editor? Did you really put them in rec\addons? If so - it's wrong - 'cause it's res\addons Or you learn how to use mod-folders. Do you just want standard BIS units to be replaced by addon units? If so - use one of the already existing replacement mods like Y2K3 - FFur (soz if i forgot to mention other ones) ~S~ CD

Cpt. FrostBite 0 Posted June 18, 2005 The messages you wrote hardly give a good discription of the problem you have. Why don't you try to explain it a little better? From what I can understand you have the following problem; -you placed the 'JAM2' and 'DPM1 UK' in the res/addons folder (that's the correct folder) -you start the editor and you can't find the units in the editor units window. JAM2 already has some units of it's own in the editor so you should be able to see these. If you don't than there indeed is a problem. One things you could check; -are you looking in the right place? Custom addons don't place their units under "west/men", but under "west/XXX" (XXX being a custom name). The readme that comes with the addons aften tells you where they are located in the editor. But I really don't have enough info to give you good solutions. Try ansewering the questions in the post of Chris Death, because that's the info we need. I think you are doing something wrong and it probably is a very small thing.

This is still not more than you already posted. Forgive me now, but what you tell us makes absolutely no sense in the world of ofp I understand if you probably are not able to speak better english, but you MUST tell us more. In my last post i already asked you some questions -> what if you try anwering them all with a simple yes or no? ~S~ CD

sanctuary 19 Posted June 19, 2005 If so - use one of the already existing replacement mods likeY2K3 - FFur (soz if i forgot to mention other ones) were do you get them i only see addons Searching can help sometime Y2K3 FFUR E:ECP All these mods need you to have Resistance and be patched in 1.96 If you don't have Resistance or patch 1.96, it will not work. Quote[/b] ]Do you just want standard BIS units to be replaced byaddon units? yes If you expect every units to be replaced by an addon you download , it will not happen 99% of the time , because addons are not supposed to replace default units, but add units. Only replacement packs can do this.
Chris Death 0 Posted June 19, 2005 Well, Sanctuary said everything what you need ... ...but: Quote[/b] ]Did you manage to get any units on screen yet? no Quote[/b] ]Do you know how to work in editor? yes these two don't fit together imho. However - it's pointless for your case, so follow the links, Sanctuary gave you and everything should be fine. Â ~S~ CD
@cero 0 Posted June 19, 2005 Hi there. Are you using the right short cut to launch OFP resistance? I'm not sure if you would be able to launch OFP CWC at all with the original shortcut if you allready have instaled Resistance, but if it launch, it may give you errors like that, not sure. I hope this hellps. Regards. @CERO.
