Recommended Posts

Looks nice so far, have you any plans for countries besides Germany using it? (I recently saw Greek versions of this nice tank)

Norway, Denmark, Netherlands (?), Belgium, Greece, Spain (?)

these are a few countrys that use or have used the Leopard 1 tank...

i know that norway still uses them, possibly belgium too, Denmark has afaik replaced the leo 1 with leo 2 now...

and i must say, GREAT model smile_o.gif

i would really se you make a nice Centurion tank too...

becouse this is one of the best tank models ive seen this far (exept maybe some RHS tanks), im looking forward to se it textured, it can be one exceptionally nice tanks...

though that would require some really good sounds and possibly a few scripts (such as a modified version of the DKMM suspension script (they are too soft to me now)

so, keep the great work up smile_o.gif

We (Spain) don´t have the Leopard 1 model (never had it). We have the Leopard 2 A4 and a variant of the A5 developed with german and spanish technology known as Leopardo.

I presume its a 3DS model

When you import a 3DS , O2 doesnt know how to handle the shading properly , thats why its all a uniform shade of grey in bulldozer.

Look for posts on "smooth and sharp edges" for details on how to get it looking right / better .

some great tips

yes...

remember that number of faces is rather extreme for one tank... bis vehciles, although very basic pushed tanks only to 1000 polies, whilst the best of the newer tanks push 9000 at most

with how many other units on map? :P

well, just add a LOT of LOD´s and it could work fine with 11 000 faces smile_o.gif

still love the model smile_o.gif

I think 11.000 faces are way too much! If you have a look at some other addons you'll see that they are also high-quality but with less faces than yours.

An example: Put a squad of your tanks on a map. Then place some enemies on the map, too. And remember, your squad has over 40.000 polys! wow_o.gif

If you put a squad RHS tanks and you add some infantry you'll it isn't funny anymore 'cause perhaps you have now over 80.000 polys on your map. sad_o.gif A mission with your tanks would be impossible for lower CPU systems.

heehee  wink_o.gif  massive name change  tounge_o.gif

the faces and points count are very high, why not try lowering them? if it IS from 3ds max then you will have very many bugs with it, double faces the lot, so break the model up into different lods and check it all though smile_o.gif
