As reward for my service please make some new screenshots from time to time, it's getting a bit repetitive using the same one in each FlashNews wink_o.gif

"Men Hunters" you say? ..hmm, i think it's too vague, too ordinary, it doesn't say much about the mission - when i read this title, i imagine a bunch of fat men, dressed in orange vests, shooting some ducks, or something like that.

...but maybe it's just my bad interpretation?

btw. i am working on new type of mission, the working title is "Escape from the darn island", and surprisingly it's a DeathMatch :-))

There is an island, some vehicles, weapons, players, etc., AND some special "escape" vehicles which are broken, and their parts are scattered all over the island.

Each part has it's purpose and is designated to be used in certain vehicle (you can't use the plane airscrew/fan? in the boat, and so on), but there is ONE part which is shared by all vehicles and there is not enough parts of this type for each vehicle, so sooner or later you can't avoid confrontation.

You must find these parts, repair your vehicle (you can freely choose which one), and get the hell out of there before ...something baaad happens smile_o.gif

The parts looks like they should - a parts - airscrew or rudder for the plane, or exhaust pipe, etc.

You can pickup and drop the parts as you wish, but you can have only one part in your current possesion.

Once you attach any part to the appropriate vehicle, you can't take it back (including the shared ones).

To search for the parts, you are equipped with an acustic "detector" - but it is not the detector which is beeping but the parts! When you turn it on, and there is some part in the detector range, then the part will start beeping, and so you can find it (clever, huh? smile_o.gif

And of course there will be some serious shooting involved.

What's also interesting is the fact, that you can even cooperate with other players - or not, it's up to you or them whether you leave the island together.

You can even trade the parts (there is not any "trade system", it's just that you can tell someone you have something he needs and what do you want from him), or hide them (sort of).

And finally, the good news is: The prototype mission is ready! The parts, the "escape" vehicles, the detector, everything works.

There are only few things missing:

1. I am somewhat short of interesting (or you can say crazy) "escape" vehicles.

First one is the Cessna airplane, the second is V1 (the German secret weapon, modified to take in one person), and the third is an old WW2 u-boat, all heavily altered to fit the needs of this mission.

I hope the original addonmakers will give me permission to use these addons.

Do you know about any nice or funny vehicle i could use?

2. More features, more fun, more things you can do.

As i said before, the mission is in perfectly playable state, but i want more things, more options, more funny ideas.

If you think some feature would be nice, then don't keep it for yourself! I will consider every idea.

Hey, didn't know where else to post this:

In the latest version RC4, we can not unlock the police jeeps or helicopters. They get an error referring to a missing script "all\vehicle_unlock.sqs". I also get script missing errors when I do manage to get into a vehicle by adding an unlock action separate, referring to "all\get_in.sqs" or something. Me and several other people have this problem, we have all the addons you list on your website. The police cars work fine.

Also, the siren on the jeep does not work.

Looks like you are using different mission version in conjunction with a different version of MORS_psycho.pbo (the filesize of the correct file should be 291 261 Bytes) or something like that.

Go to http://5133p39.wz.cz and use the links in the download section (also read the notes about what you need and when).

Now i remembered that other people can have problems while trying to access the website, so here are the links to everything you need to play the 6.0 RC4 version:

BEWARE! If you already have this addon, you need to download it ONLY if you want to put it on a dedicated server.

The original addon contains some textures in wrong dimensions, which caused the DEDICATED server to crash.

This RAR is the same addon, but with these textures corrected. So for your client, you can use the original version, but for dedicated server you need to download this corrected version.

Well this is interesting...

I have just tried a fresh new install of the GOTY edition, with only the mission's addons installed. It works perfectly.

There must be a conflict with something that we have, though it's anybody's guess exactly what it is. : /

There is no real bug in the mission, it seems then.

i think it was because you were using a "wrong" version of MORS_psycho, because in the last version of it, it isn't calling the "all\vehicle_unlock.sqs" script anymore, the path and filename is different. These (un)lock scripts are called from within the MORS_psycho.pbo from the vehicle's usersAction, and the scripts are located in the mission PBO (if i am not mistaken).

That tells me you were using old MORS_psycho addon (which needs the script mentioned above), and new mission (where these scripts are different and in different path).

Sure i will!

In fact, i am waiting for ArmA to add many features (think about the bus traffic, think about a bonus ability to posses some AI and use them as a killing machine, think about the "fixed" collisions in conjunction with car chase and roadblocks, and who knows what other ideas i might get when i start the work).

According to the commands i seen in the ArmA wiki, i think i can make the mission 10x much better and 20x much fun than it is now.

The next day after the very release of ArmA, the world will see the first beta of 'Psycho Slayer' for Armed Assault ...assuming the ArmA won't contain any fatal bugs which would prevent me in using all the desired features (not that i don't believe in BIS, but every new game does have few glitches).

I am sleeping with my fingers crossed since the Armed Assault has been announced smile_o.gif

hmmm, right now i don't know where could i use any custom anims, but thank you, it's another thing to think about and if i get some idea, i'll certainly ask you for help.

hmmmmm, do you have any webpage which checks the status of your server?

If you are playing the "Psycho Slayer" sometimes, maybe it would be better to add the link to your server info (current mission, etc.) to the first post in this topic, or maybe somehow make the server info show right in the first post?
