ThoMpsoN* 0 Posted May 24, 2005 I've search this, but could not find anything. I'm surprised no one has had this problem before. It might be something stupid that I am forgetting, but your help would be great. My textures are in my bulldozer folder. When ever I go into texture mode, when I load a texture, then select the vertices, and press B, an error comes up that says, No Texture Loaded. I've tried everything, but still can't get it to work. Help! -thompsoN*

Acacyn 0 Posted November 5, 2005 Your textures have to have the extensions .pac or .paa. Use PAATool (->32Mbit .tga files) or Texview to convert .jpg, .gif or .tga files to .paa or .pac. Allowed image sizes: 2x2 , 4x4 , 8x8 , 16x16 , 32x32 , 64x64 , 128x128 , 256x256 , 512x512 , 1024x1024 , etc. Also allowed is: 128x1024 or 512x256 or 1024x4 etc. The textures (.pac or .paa) must be in the same folder like the addon e.g.: D:\Games\OperationFlashpoint\Edit\Addons\o2_viewer_upd\aca_arc170 ->in this folder are the config.cpp, the .p3d modell, the sounds and the TEXTURES!!!! in the O2 options you have to tip in the texture path of your addons: e.g.: you have to replace the aca_cp in TEXTURE NAME PREFIX with the folder name of you rcurrent addon. I hope i could help you a little bit
prodetar2 0 Posted July 10, 2006 now im having a problem too and i cant solve it with prev post in texture name prefix what must i write? can you be more specific? please respond
Chris Death 0 Posted July 10, 2006 Two things that come to my mind: 1) if using Virtual drives (like z:) check also on which path you tried to access your texture. Let's say you make c:\oxygen\ into z: Then you have to take care that your texture is also accessed by z: and not by c:\oxygen\ This mistake did cost me 2 weeks of modelling one year ago. Â 2) Textures don't need be in the same folder like the addon - you can have crossover path's to other addons aswell without any problem - only the paths must be specified correct. Â :edit 3) (well i found a third thing) You can also use .tga textures and let O2 convert them into .pac (me thinks - maybe .paa - not sure anymore) The converted Texture will be found in \data folder afterwards. ::edit - don't blame me now - this one is special for prodetar2's problem 4) after reading your problem in your 'few boxes thread' i got one more thing: Sometimes if you start O2, and load a modell, you cannot load any texture, unless you: save the modell, and reload it again. Sometimes it's also good, if you load a modell into O2, which is already textured (partially or full), to select one of the faces in the correct view, then change to texture mode and right-click to: 'select face form background' Now if you see the texture appearing, you will know that everything is fine for further texture loading - if not, you will need to do what i said above (save/reload). ~S~ CD
prodetar2 0 Posted July 11, 2006 im currently already getting advice from nephilim on msn and save reload doesnt work id guess since i opend and loaded it like a million times.. still thanks for your advice though
mattxr 9 Posted August 7, 2006 How to i change the path for the textures because they are coming up white ingame. how can i change the textures path e.g. /car1/car1.p3d to /car2/car2.p3d becuase what i have is a textured model, i changed the textures of the model and i overrote the old textures but i want to make it into a seporite addon so i changed all the config and folder names and everything but the problem lies in the p3d model and i cant get the texture paths changed. this is what im talking about. therefore the textures dont load on the unit ingame
sparky 0 Posted August 7, 2006 1st) select all the model or hte part of the model that you want to replace the texture path 2nd) push the button with number 1 on pic (red circle) 3rd) the "face properties" box will apear. in this box you can see on the left side the coordinates of each face and on the right the name of texture as long as the path. 4th) push the no 2 button (red circle), now you can choose your texture, choose it and hit open 5th)hit apply and you're done. P.S. you can do a mass change of textures, example if you have one texture which appears a lot of times, select the lines and replace the texture simulationaly. i hope this can help you. It's easy to use: http://ofp.gamepark.cz/index.php?showthis=8593
