ZiR the Murp 0 Posted November 16, 2004 woooouu.. beautyful.. For civilian missions for example. Exactly what I had in mind. It does not depend on the game if an addon fits or not. it depends on the mission you use it in. I am relly looking forward to the release. GREAT work! lee_h._oswald 0 Posted November 16, 2004 Very good looking addon! Btw, crazy that no one made a Volkswagen Beetle. MfG Lee
d034rk 0 Posted November 16, 2004 At least someone tried... This shot is from Brsseb's site, but it's unfortunately listed under "lost projects".
lee_h._oswald 0 Posted November 16, 2004 Hmpf, we need more small cars in OFP. MfG Lee
d034rk 0 Posted November 16, 2004 Regarding the newspost on ofp.info I have to say that the pic of the armed version is a photomontage. Nevertheless I will very likely create such a version.

d034rk 0 Posted March 29, 2005 The roadster isn't dead! I just made a little Kreativpause, how Harald Schmidt would call it. The project makes headway and is slowly but surely moving to completion. Some details have to be added and some texture work and polishing has to be done. I'm planning to release an Alpha in the next days if my workflow won't be disrupted by unexpected influences. Is there casually someone who could create a nice roadster sound for me? I'm not very into the flashpoint audio engine.
-ZG-BUZZARD 0 Posted April 22, 2005 I don't know where to get an original Smart Roadster engine sound, but I think there are tools to convert soundfiles to OFP soundfile standard around somewhere...
d034rk 0 Posted April 23, 2005 Smart Roadster Coupé Alpha Version: Thank you for your patience: Download: Smart Roadster Coupé - Mirror 1 Smart Roadster Coupé - Mirror 2 Notes: It's an alpha and also my first addon, so don't expect perfection: - The interior lacks detail and polishment. - The texture transitions on the sides have to be done. - The sound is provisionally. - The config likely needs some tuning - feel free to make suggestions. One request to the ofp.info guys: Would you please be so kind as to upload the file to your servers? Thanks!
d034rk 0 Posted April 23, 2005 @BUZZARD: The sound recording is no problem. But I think it's very difficult to make it sound like the real car in the game, because of Flashpoint's old school motor sound simulation. Anyway, I gave it a shot in the alpha. Silent N Deadly 0 Posted April 24, 2005 Looks pretty tight. Nice work! Â Edit- After some (short) testing, I can say, it's a pleasure to drive around. Maybe make the texture for the back more generic, or even transparent (like front windshield). Nice first addon though! 2nd Edit- Here's OFP.info Mirror: FTP1 FTP2
NZXSHADOWS 0 Posted April 24, 2005 Damn Good If you ask Me.Great work d034rk!!!
d034rk 0 Posted April 24, 2005 Thanks folks! I think I'll rework the whole upper rear and make the windows transparent.
ag_smith 0 Posted April 24, 2005 Good work mate! I took this little cute car for a little ride on the just released Pheonix Island. The model and textures are very nice. One thing that could be improved, though, is the handling. I mean, for such a small car, it should be more manouverable. Currently it steers like a Humvee. d034rk 0 Posted April 24, 2005 Yeah, I didn't bother too much about the handling, yet. Actually it handles like a go kart in reality.

d034rk 0 Posted April 25, 2005 After a bit of a fight with the alpha channels, I could finally force them to obey my orders. It was actually easier than I thought:

-ZG-BUZZARD 0 Posted April 27, 2005 Looks and sounds marvelous, d034rk!!! Snappy brakes give it an extra-authentic feeling Only the interior view is a bit too far back, although it may be realistic, it's not too practical... overall though, it's a great car, and with the clear rear windows, it'll be even better!!!
