Baron Hurlothrumbo IIX 0 Posted March 20, 2005 Actually now that you mentioned that I went and checked the SHOWW2 manual and it says "this Codemasters game is protected by the FADE protection system..."...There's no mention about StarForce... So does it even use it?? I just assumed it would as everybody seemed to think so... Soldiers: heroes of WWII definitely uses the starforce crap, so that shows you that you cannot even trust the publishers to tell you when it is being used. h - 169 Posted March 20, 2005 I see... Well, they probably mention FADE just for advertisement then...
GoOB 0 Posted March 20, 2005 And what to do if you don't have a choice? No choice? You are not bound by contract to play a game. So the choice is clear: You don't like the publisher's conditions of sale? Then don't play his games... This was about CD's, and not games... I think I got something completly wrong I should just read what the other forumites put into the threads instead of trying to contribute something by myself
Placebo 29 Posted March 21, 2005 Again this is a discussion about copy protection, this forum is not the place for such discussions.
