Tomb's CD-Cover Kit for Addons

Recommended Posts

Nice one, Firefly. smile_o.gif

Some really nice covers here... Could you guys please post your covers in this form, NOT front and back separately? It's easier to print them and put in DVD box, if everything is on one sheet of paper. rock.gif

oh but they are, agent smithy mate smile_o.gif

the pics that I show are not for copy/print; they're just cut out because of the 100 kb size limit

on these boards! If I want to show anything at all, this is how its gonna be...

The real cover is some really nasty-huge image files, each cover takes up 6-7 MB's, and that's when compressed in .ZIP format!!!

To make a really good looking dvd-cover you have to create a LARGE image file (whole cover, and one large cd-label image).

PS. you can download them, if only I had a place to store them;

I need a site that is willing to offer room for this kind of stuff

.

smile_o.gif Changed my BAS cover a bit - ya need to tell which ones are the best.

(sorry the small size, you should off course see them "live", they're HEAVY 24-bitmaps!)

NEW FRONT:

Again, the small size shown here doesn't do me any justice... bear with it plz

Both of them are nice.

AAAARGH!!! crazy_o.gif

biggrin_o.gif  But I found out what the 'bug' was all about - It's because th fronpage up there (on both versions) looks

like a back cover; really, that's the probby! Have a peep here below, and agree that a simplified image is far better:

Full cover:

...and the new frontside in details:

Hi.

Just poping to say that I'm working in some covers too.

I started a topic in the "General" forums, but I may just lock it and carry on in this one.

My topic.

One thing thou, I printed the one I posted and for some reason is smaller than what it is in Photoshop. I got the measurements right, but once I print it it come out too small.

Its that just me or anybody get the same.

I can't work it out to save my life, lol.

BTW nice covers all.

Regards.

@CERO.

Edit: BTW here is what I done so far:

@CERO.

biggrin_o.gif  hehehe - with a community as 'stubborn' and dedicated as this,

one can only think that you're taking the right precautions, cero mate. tounge_o.gif

Oh, and @Gandalf, hence yer comments:

since i've got a word now:

1.) the soldiers on the front look a bit stretched , but no biggie

2.) I dont like the edited UH-60 pic on the back cover,...

3.) why don't make the edges on the map blur a bit (on the CD) ?

smile_o.gif As you can see a few posts upwards, your requests were generally heard.

Corrected the chopper image on the back cover & skipped the "stretched" units (skipped the whole front concept).

I didn't wanna change the cd label since the map is relatively small

(I tried making a real cd back home to see how it actually appeared),

and blurring the edges would only make it even harder to see anything of interest. smile_o.gif

It will remain 'as is' now, Grab it or TRASH it. xmas_o.gif

so its not too "simple" ? wow_o.gifsmile_o.gif

I kinda feared that ppl would go "bah, its too clean" or alike...

The cover is deliberately kept simple & 'clean'... I wanted to create sort of a marine touch to it,

with the green colours and all. After all, the falklands war was very much a sea/air battle, obviously. smile_o.gif

The Paras played a very important role in there, aswell as the SAS and lots and lots more.

I wouldn't base it in that.

If I was you I make a big map of the islands, then give it a 50% transparency and stik it as a new layer on top of what you got allready, just make sure you gut over the pictures and logos and stuff.

I haven't had any time for my self, so I haven't been able to work on anything, but if you want I can make something and send it to you on PSD format for you to mess about with. I'll make it extra big, so when it gets reduced in sice to the printable size, the wryting quality won't loose. But it won't be before tomorrow biggrin_o.gif its my birthday today, so I'm out tonight with the lads to get smashed.

Regards.
