try and read back more than 2 posts and you'll quickly realise this is an ongoing project by DKM - i.e. not released yet smile_o.gif

It looks finished... but there's a reason no pics of the rear have been shown yet wink_o.gif

Also, as I said, the scripting is at 0%, so I can't acheive any of my aims with it yet.

Patience is they key word. wink_o.gif

Cyber: the last pic IS desert.. rock.gif

But why a US colour scheme for a Canadian vehicle? Not that it varies from the one already shown..

I have plenty of pictures of the ADATS in real life, thanks, it's just getting the textures right that's the problem.

Does anyone know how to make a script thats the map of an Island is in a vehicle like in the DKM Comanche?

I don't know if there is a script for that out there in the public, but I have seen it done in many vehicles. Best thing I can suggest is to contact one of the addon makers that use this feature, such as DKM or COMBAT!, and ask them if they can help you out. You will also want to make sure the map display is able to show custom island textures for new addon maps, this is also done with the other vehicle map displays.

That's a question I've been PMed with a lot, but being useless at scripting I couldn't really answer it.

Some good news:

People may have seen in the photo thread some pictures of a Herculese Transport Aircraft, based on a retextured job of the model which was included in OPGWC. The original was only meant for a background to a few ADATS pictures, but I have decided to expand the pack and make it a proper project. It's not a full project at the moment, I have work for other teams and of course the SAM pack, but already there are 5 versions of paint schemes for American and British aircraft.

Basically, if there is a version of the Herculese you would like to have, post it.

I will try to do all but the AC-130 Spectre gunship, because I can't script it.

I will do any nationailty except Argentinian, I hope to make this pack encompass all the needed versions of the OFP community.

Pictures soon.

Will you do a US Navy, Marines and Air Force skin?

It would be great if you could also do a South African C-130, or what do you think of the New Iraqi Air Force C-130:

Watch out, big pic

Yeah I intend to cover all the USAF/RAF schemes.

I'll do a SA one, got any pictures?

That Iraq one I saw yesturday.. It's just a re-lettering on the normal grey C130, won't be a problem.

Getting the fonts they used will be though.. sad_o.gif

Old pic of the C130:

Jag, I might be able to get hold of some real military fonts for you. From memory, the pack I'm thinking of has the USAF font, as well as most RAF ones from 1940 to today.

Cheers Kooky, that'd help a lot. Edit: thanks anyway tounge_o.gif

Just thought:

I'll do a wreck pack too. It won't be in the main download becuase that will be large, the model is 10,000 polies and the textures are 2048 (if you don't like that: don't download it. I'm not using tiny textures on something as big as a C130) so if I split it up, it should keep the 56kers happy.

The wreck pack itself will feature two types of wreck per C130 model: Crashed and Sabotaged, the latter being models simulating C130s which have been destroyed by special operations on the ground, as they're vital to supply so tend to get targeted. Good idea? smile_o.gif

Good idea, makes for different objectives. Securing crash-sites trying to locate sensitive materials and that sort of thing.

Since the textures are so big, it might be an idea to split the download into different nationalities or something like that. For example, all I want out of the pack is the RAF Hercs, I don't really care about any of the US ones or an Iraqi one or a South African one. Another person might just want the US ones but not the RAF ones.

At least that way, people can pick and choose to keep their addon folders at a reasonable size.

hmm they're in seperate PBOs anyway due to me not knowing how to config multiple vehicles into one.. so that's very likely to happen.

That's a bloody good idea actually..

Good news is, I've basically completed the textures for the universal parts of the texture: detailing etc. and I think it's looking pretty good.

It has been decided the UK versions of the Herculese will be undertaken by UKF, which is very good news for ones waiting for them particuarly. biggrin_o.gif

So far I have made:

Plain Green

Plain Grey

US style Grey with white underside

USAF "Sea" Cammo http://www.jpsmodell.de/dc/shemes/c130_sea.jpg

Plain Desert

US Desert

I will be doing this:

Any others?

Oh, and the Spectre is now a possiblity.
