Tunnel again

Long ago I had thread on tunnel like this in Oxy. board and it seemed to get little attention, I've been working on my Ten island for a while and made this tunnel with it, it's sitting on my hard drive for a while with some bugs (Geo,FireGeo LODs missing) and I need some help on fixing them then releasing to community. I was wondering if anyone would have any use of this? rock.gif

you suddenly dissapeared, I wondered what happened to the addon crazy_o.gif

Anyhow, maybe you can devide the addon in multiple parts, and auto*setpos em together? wink_o.gif

I already separated it into pieces as you can see this version is different, geo is working atm as a box with a hole but problem is im too stupid to realize how geo works since i've done most of the stuff needed:

1. Geo lod model is completely closed.

2. Comonents are named

3. Weight is setup

but magically it still doesn't work. Is there something I'm missing.

If any Geo LOD exceeds 64 meters in size, it simply won't work. Maybe that's your problem? rock.gif

Nope, pieces are much smaller anyways a friend told me that Geo Lod can only be cubic objects (4 vertexes/6 faces crazy_o.gif ) so I'm gonna try that out next.

That's not true. GeoLOD can have objects with more points and more faces, but all of it has to be convex. Click Structure -> Convexity -> Component Convex Hull and it will make your structure convex and name all the objects "Component01", "Component02" etc.

Geo LOD works now (thx Hardrock) but acts up kinda werid, on top of the tunnel (part with trees) acts like there is Geo and FireGeo LODs. I know that it isn't a clear explanation, I'll post a pic of what I mean when I get back from work.

add a roadway LOD to the top of the tunner (bits where you want walked on) and have it just a centimetre or two above the geo lod also in your geo LOD press Ctrl + P to get the named selections up (or named properties either of the 2) and type in to the window you get (shoudl appear in the bottom left corner of your o2 screen) type Dammage No (ill get a pic in a mo for you to show you) that way your object cannot be detroyed by anymeans  smile_o.gif

ohh yes this would rock, started working on one myself, but never got it any good, very hard to get it to "merge" on the island.

Too bad the tunnels is hard to use "all round", since everything more or less need to fit with the surrouding.

Need any more help ?
