wheres my rabbit ?

a new sky pack

Recommended Posts

I realize this is an old thread, but it was the most recent of the various skypack threads. tounge2.gif

I'm having an odd issue when trying to get the skypack installed (not just this one, either, I've tried Llaumax's as well as Kegetys' original). The installation itself goes fine (unpack, repack), but when I start up OFP, I'm immediately assaulted with "Cannot load ural-t.p3d". The skies show up fine, however. Loading up the mission editor and previewing gives me a "Cannot load someczechword.p3d".

I'm running on WinXP, and I've tried the sky packs without any other addons loaded, as well as with ECP, etc.

In a semi-related issue, the custom laptop addon (the Thinkpad) packs, but I still get the original BIS laptop.

Am I missing something of the process?

You need to play with Direct3D HW T&L which you setup in flashpointpreferences.exe.

Thanks Llaumax, that did the trick. I don't quite get why, though. The installers all replace stuff in both the base dta folder as well as the hwtl folder. Also, the skies were showing up just fine in regular D3D mode, it's just that I kept getting those apparently unrelated errors (ural-t.p3d, for example, which shouldn't have been touched at all, as far as I can see from the installer).

hi, how do you use this skypack with just the new skies, i.e. not the NVG effects or any other effects (that ECP already does)?

remove from newdata folder what you dont want:

desta.#.paa are rain textures

mesic.#.paa are clouds

more_anim.#.pac is sea

<table border="0" align="center" width="95%" cellpadding="0" cellspacing="0"><tr><td>Code Sample </td></tr><tr><td id="CODE">NVG_proxy.p3d; night_sum.#.paa;nvg_tex.pac; nightvisiontl.paa are the night vision goggles

but if you run llaumax with ECP on top of it ECP effects take over (i.E: NVGoggles)

Actually, they don't entirely. The ECP NVG optic shape is there, but the lighting effects are different (but this may be an ECP+dxdll conflict with the sky pack). Whatever the reason, running them together decreases the quality of NVG effects. Far too much contrast and you can equip NVGs during the brightness of day without total flare, just a high contrast green cast to everything.

It would be cool if someone can make ABC (automatic brightness control) for NVG where they slowly shut down when exposed to bright light.

Quote[/b] ]If you still want new water textures just download Status Cz's water textures and add the .pac files to the newdata folder before reinstalling the sky pack.

since Dxdll dont work on my comp for some reason i would love those water textures but that link doesnt work another weird thing on my computer is that it doesnt like the first link provided bu ofp.info only accepts the second link

can you please post that thnaks
