Triglav 0 Posted November 19, 2005 That movie is a Wisconsin battery of the Union army LOL Hmmm... Then why weren't you standing defiantly on one of those barrels?
Triglav 0 Posted November 23, 2005 I don't think this man needs an introduction. More generals on the way...
Sepe 1 Posted November 23, 2005 Um... Is he Abraham Lincoln? No? Um... Michael Jackson? Santa Claus? What? General Lee? Wasn't that a car or something? Shouldn't his beard be a bit "rounder"? And be sure to include Stonewall, I wanna charge to the enemy with him leading the way - just like in the ol' pictures. Don't know if he ever rushed to the enemy on foot and with only a sword, but wouldn't really be surprised... EDIT: Here's a little pic, just to keep yall in the spirits... Rarely, I decided to wear blue for that battle... And got shot by a rebel gunner. Yes, he actually hit me. Linkie, screw the thumbnails! Oh yes, my boomspeed account is gettin' full and Imageshack gives nice thumbnails. I'm sorry. EDIT2: DAMNIT!
quag 0 Posted November 23, 2005 Stonewall only drew his sword once during the civil war, when he gave a speech to the stonewall brigade on leaving them to become a corps commander! but he did lead the way notably at bull run, he was spotted by the union army just before the battle of second bull run on a ridge. just before ordering the attrack wich saw the creation of the Iron Brigade and the last of General popes hope of doing any good! but that fella is cool at last cut scene material for CwMOd looking good! majoris 10 Posted November 23, 2005 The release is getting close, but just to keep the mood... here's a little mission I'm making on the side, modeled after Pickett's Charge, featuring my line battle script of course the script will be included with the CWMod release

eestikas88 0 Posted November 24, 2005 now we know how you look like lol
Triglav 0 Posted November 24, 2005 And J.E.B. Stuart, to round off the bunch of famous rebel generals... (unless there's some other officers you think we really can't do without...Bragg? Hill? Heth? Hood? Johnson? Beauregard? Cleburne? Forrest? Mosby?) Now on to the men that preserved the Union!
Master Blaster 0 Posted November 25, 2005 Things are looking great, cant wait until release. I was curious if, since cavalry is now possible, there would be some sort of irregular cavalrymen? Â Perhaps on the resistance side there could be a cavalryman with mostly civilian clothing and a union overcoat? Â That was pretty much standard wear for both rebel and union irregulars in the border war in the KS/MO/OK region. Â It would be great to be able to throw together some battles between those forces. Â Jesse James, Cole Younger, "Bloody Bill" Anderson, William Quantrill, and tons of other future western outlaws actually served in that theater of operations during the civil war. Â If you're looking for some fun characters to skin for the game, those would be pretty interesting and might also be of use to anybody who wanted to make wild west style missions later on. Triglav 0 Posted November 25, 2005 Well Blaster...Quantrill's men are already made... (seen here next to the Virginian and Texan cavalrymen...) I suppose you can also take any ol' civillian with a shotgun and put him on a horse.
bucket man 2 Posted November 25, 2005 Looks excellent! Especially the new horse makes me want to play this mod more than ever! Just one thing though... the horses head looks rather large compared to the body. Maybe scale it down just a little bit?
Triglav 0 Posted November 25, 2005 It's just the weird perspective of OFP engine where it enlarges things towards the edge of the screen. In real the head is properly proportionate, don't worry.
bigus_dikus 0 Posted November 26, 2005 here's a little something I've been working on for my two maps. there will be two versions of this bridge a wrp and an editor version. and with AI M1A1 crossing. textures still kinda suck but working on it. bigus
quag 0 Posted November 26, 2005 Thats Excellent Bigus. triglav will there be an Expansion to the range of objects just its hard bringing a town etc to life without some more clutter things like little civilian carts and other clutter, all the generals are great though! Some ad-hoc baricades and cheavaux De Frise would be cool as well as some rock barricades, and lo baricades, union infntry tended to put up shallow Earthworks no matter what! (as on culps hill and even little rpound top and devils den!
Triglav 0 Posted November 26, 2005 Hehe Quag...one of us must be a mindreader Here are the entrenchments done so far: You see here some breastworks with logs and sharpened poles...in the back is a chevaux-de-frise and a tree-abatis...both were used in those days for slowing the enemy advances, like barbed wire is used today... A waggon is also already done...pulled by 4 horses.
eestikas88 0 Posted November 26, 2005 these are cool.
quag 0 Posted November 27, 2005 Man you read my mind, brilliant!
awa202 0 Posted November 27, 2005 howdy, this mod has come pretty far! i read through the pages looking at the progress of the horses. these new ones look great. does anyone know when they will be released? there was an ox cart by CSJ some time ago which worked great! the max speed just needed to be increased ? can anyone tell me how i can do that??? it would work great as transport! Triglav 0 Posted November 28, 2005 Hi. The current update of CWMOD should already be released, but as we keep finding details to add and improve it keeps getting a bit delayed. Still...unless someting terrible happens I think it should be out before Christmas. About speed...find the speed parameter of the vehicle in its config.cpp and increase it...
Sepe 1 Posted November 28, 2005 Great, looks like I don't have to bother and shoot Triglav then. I'll be happy to do it though with the new CWMOD! By the way, will you also release a patch to update the existing mod or just a full one? Not too important tho, as the size (or at least the old sizes haven't been) ain't too huge, comparing to all these "über-improvement" mods we've seen soo many these days.
